gw_leics772 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Frank Sinclair outside Fenwicks – I said hello mr Sinclair, and he asked me if id seen his car, I very nearly explained that I know who he is because he plays for the local premier league football team, not because im his mate, but I didn’t want to confuse him any more than he already was. Also, Jan Koller in a beer garden in prague whilst on a stag weekend

OzFox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Spencer Prior in the kitchen at work. At 3 o'clock in the morning. Years ago I went to view a property in Chiswick. The front door was opened by a tall, athletic looking bloke who looked very familiar. I said 'Do I know you from somewhere?' he said 'No I don't think so'. When I walked into the lounge there was a pile of tennis rackets on the sofa, and on the wall was a picture of the bloke playing Goran Ivanisevic at Wimbledon. It was Chris Bailey, the Brit No 1

sylofox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 In the S&S club in great glen one sunday they had a village cricket team vrs tigers charity match on. Said to one of my mates you stopping to watch it He said "No going to the greyhound to get pissed then coming back to fill some of these tigers players in" (he was joking) About five mins later he said he'd get one in before he left. So while he was waiting the room went dark as all these no necks came in. Stood right next to me is Martin Johnson. So as my mates back is turned I said to him " You still going down the Greyhound to get pissed before you come back to fill in some tigers players then" He replied "Yeah" As he did Martin Johnson taps him on the should as my mate turns round and starts to look up. Martin Johnson say's " You make sure you get well fvcking pissed" We were all shaw we could smell shit lol

Istilllovefilbert Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Martin Johnson was eating in my pub with his family when it burnt down. Asked everyone to leave (as you do) and although he reluctantly evacuated the building, he waited until the fire brigade put the fire out and I was allowed back in the pub so he could have his money back. Met Robbie Savage at Sixfields watching Wrexham playing Northampton (dont ask) whilst he was playing for us. Talked about Kevin "Rooster" Russell for a minute, but got nothing but babble about him being a Wrexham fan. I left thinking he was a bit simple and I still cannot believe he's a pundit on TV. Someone must have taught him to speak. Also met loads of city players, especially MON's team. Matt Elliot's Mrs...wow
Stadt Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Is meeting Martin Johnson a requirement for signing up to Foxestalk?
Istilllovefilbert Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Could be worse. I served Ken Barlow a chicken and mushroom pie once.
TheRutlandfox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I rescued Andrew Neville (Director of football at the foxes) and his teenage daughter a few years back when his focus got stuck along with a number of cars in a blizzard between Tilton and Oakham. I was out on rescue duties overnight with my landrover with my teenage son and found them walking in minus 6 degrees the 4 miles home having had to abandon the car. Knowing him from junior football days in the late 90s as a parent, and also my lad was mates with his daughter so they jumped in and we went back and recovered their car so they could get back home!! Spencer Priors wife also had a nasty car accident and crashed through the mother in laws field hedge near Oakham just after he left Leicester and had to sort out the damage to the fence and hedge with Spencer Prior My sis had the pleasure of having Frank Sinclair run in the back of her car near Belvoir drive entrance where she lives. She went round to see Martin O Neil who knew her as a resident there through dealing with speeding issue with his players!! and went with her to the fitness room to get him to cough up the cash for the damage , which he did out of his back pocket!! And finally back in late Jan 1991 my wife was in the General expecting my eldest lad, and was with Steve Walsh's Wife at the time who was expecting. I have followed city since the 60s but lost touch with football for some reason in the 80s having moved to London then back up to Narborough and hadn't got a clue who he was. The two woman thought it hilarious when I asked what his job was, guessing by the sharp suit he was car salesman etc. He said no I am a football player any famous team I ask.. No just captain for Leicester

Phew that was close, the brunnette nearly blew it........in this case 2 matts in the hand is better than a Albert in the bush ( or an Albert at the front door).
ARM1968 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Met Peter Shilton on one of those old Hogwarts trains in the 70's. Nice enough. Chatted for a bit. Met Liam Gallagher at Knebworth in 96. Stuck my left forefinger in his belly button. Don't ask why. I can't remember. Met Peter Jackson in the Disneyland hotel the December Fellowship of the ring was released. Played pool with Neil Lennon in the Super Bowl or whatever it's called, back in the days of O'Neill.

FoxTrott Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Slightly OT but I bump into Kazenga LuaLua, Will Buckley, most of Brighton's team on a weekly basis as they use the gym I go to for some things. Tried to nutmeg Kazengy but he wasn't having it.
LanguedocFox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Slightly off to one side, this, but in August 1997 I was with a mate of mine, on our way to see City play in the first match of the season against Villa. It was the season after we'd beaten Middlesbrough to win the League Cup. As we were driving down Burnmoor Street, my mate spotted Frank McClintock walking on the pavement, and he wound down the window and yelled "It's all built on the solid foundations you laid, eh Frank?" McClintock smiled, nodded and said "Thanks" before he realised he was having the p1ss taken out of him. When we got into our seats in the Carling Stand, we found out that he was sitting just behind us, and he spent the whole match glaring at us. We won 1-0.
J.Lisemore Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Was either last season or the season before, but me and a few friends were pre-match drinking in a Birmingham boozer and we noticed the Man City squad walking by with security guards etc, I managed to trip over Zabaleta's foot and I can remember Balotelli being a lot smaller than he looked on the tele.

AKCJ Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Bumped into Henry, Viera and Pires in a bar in London. I think it was in the Invincible season but they were very nice lads. All had time for a chat.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 At St Pancras I was sat on the train, when into the carriage and sitting down opposite me came Len Glover, on his way to his first game for Leicester, after his transfer from Charlton. Had a great conversation all the way to Leicester, where Davie Gibson was waiting for him. That's when I got both their autographs, which I have to this day.
