HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 It only just dawned on me that all the time we talk about players past and present speculating whether they read it on here, nobody has ever just asked. I mean it may be very unlikely that a current player would admit who they were on here due to the trouble footballers seem to get on social media sites but maybe if there are any ex or current LCFC players who are on here with their own profile. Just say hello, we don't need to know your true identity. I am curious.......
Cincinnati Fox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 My name is theo and I played for lcfc in the late 90's and early 2000's

kyleolly Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 I was once linesman at a Leicester city game
Carl the Llama Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 My Grandad always claimed he played a few matches for City as a sort of football mercenary back in the day when he did football as a second job to supplement his main one. This would have been sometime either during or in the decade or so following WWII. I only have records of him playing for Coalville though and there's no mention of him in the extensive archive on this site so I'm starting to wonder if he may have embellished somewhat...
Stuliasz Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 I'm sure Ashley Chambers used to post on here when he was coming through the academy and had to stop when he started to get a few first team appearances.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 My mate's dad played for us. His son- my mate- was in our youth side. Surname Bunce My other mate and workmates elder brother played for us- Tom Williamson

Surname Bunce My other mate and workmates elder brother played for us- Tom Williamson Went to school with willow! Didn't know him that well though. Beleive he scored the last unofficial goal at filbo street, a penalty in a testimonial. Think it must have been Walshys.

MajorDanby Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 This is going to turn into I was in the academy and I got scouted by xyz thread!! Ha. Not idea who scouted me. When i got dropped I tried to play on the right wing instead. Stopped playing football properly by the time I was 18. Not exactly a magical story Pretty much destroyed my love of playing football.

MajorDanby Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Interestingly did it put you off even following footy for a bit? Hard to say really. I kept my season ticket up, again until I was 18. I then went to Uni and stopped going to games and stopped playing (bar the odd Sunday morning at Goals). I definitely lost the love for all of it then. Its not until the last few years that I have been working and started going down the City again. I still don't have a season ticket - but I don't live in Leicester. I now listen on the radio, go to away games that are relatively close by and go to the KP when I'm visiting the family - or maybe its more like I visit the family when I go to the KP. The L1 season coincided with me starting to properly follow the boys again

I work for his uncle and with his younger brother. Those two were/are decent players too.

Can't remember much else as I only think he played 1or 2 games.
