SystonFox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Classic Archive Thread. There's a few other funny threads in there also. Yes mate. Just read it. Priceless. About 8 replies and then the game gets under way..... 13 pages long and I have 40 replies per page!!!!!! Did we even win the game I don't remember it? Found a ticket in my wallet, first home game of the season against Reading a couple of seasons ago, completely forgot it happened and after much googling I find we lost 0-2
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Yes I did, but I can't say who I am as my boyfriend is gay, although I must point out that I'm not.
kingfox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 I'm Martyn Waghorn's dog, and while out on my walk a stranger called Mark decided to pick my shit up.
General Smuts Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Exactly the same as Denby - was at the School Of Excellence for a couple of years, got bounced out, went to uni and stopped playing anything but 5 a side. I did set up Louis Dodds' first ever goal though. For Ratby & Groby Under 9s against Quorn. We won 13-1 and I had 2 goals disallowed since I didn't have the offside rule mastered yet.
Donut Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I know someone who has been involved as an official during a testimonial.
The Doctor Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Just read it. Priceless. About 8 replies and then the game gets under way..... 13 pages long and I have 40 replies per page!!!!!! Did we even win the game I don't remember it? Found a ticket in my wallet, first home game of the season against Reading a couple of seasons ago, completely forgot it happened and after much googling I find we lost 0-2 2-2 and a last minute equaliser from Beckford if I recall. Frankly the thread was better than the match. Anyway, the chap who took the football extracurricular activity at a-level was Ritchie Norman (city full-back in the 60's)
volpeazzurro Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 My young son would tell you with great authority that, after having played with Man Utd, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and England, just prior to my retirement, his Dad at last played for the club of his dreams, Leicester City! I trust that I can rely upon you not to burst this tiny white lie of a bubble, surely most of it must have been true?
ozleicester Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 My Grandad always claimed he played a few matches for City as a sort of football mercenary back in the day when he did football as a second job to supplement his main one. This would have been sometime either during or in the decade or so following WWII. I only have records of him playing for Coalville though and there's no mention of him in the extensive archive on this site so I'm starting to wonder if he may have embellished somewhat... My dad did the same thing, I grew up safe in the knowledge he never quite made it, but had a couple of runs in the LCFC reserves etc. Being in Australia there was no real way to check however when we came back to england to live for a while, a few discussions with uncles etc made it clear that, he didnt play for Citeh, "oh he was alright player.. think he might have had a run in the preseason with Kettering town".
Jimothy Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Hi my name is Jimmy. I have a gambling problem. So the answer is no, you never played for City
