The Year Of The Fox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Now this isn't entirely about myself now but what is the consensus on having photo's on your Facebook of you and you ex? Is it wrong? Should you delete them? Does it put women off? (yes you'd imagine) Should they just 'get over it' as its part of your past and deleting photo's won't change the fact you had a previous missis. I should clarify no one is asking me to delete anything at all. I was thinking about doing it off my own back in case it upset a prospective new lady. But there are 100s of photos of me and the ex in tonnes of different albums/locations and I simply cannot be arsed trawling through to delete them all. Plus I think 'why should I?' I had some great holidays etc and some good laughs. Plus many are of 'us' and existing friends. I'm not after personal advice, more, do you delete photos of your ex when you split?
Finnaldo Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I'd delete the ones of just you and your ex and possibly keep the group ones. That's what I'd do anyway.
Zingari Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 i think the best idea is to photoshop all the pics of your ex to make her look fat and spotty
Beliall Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 go through and get rid of the easiest to find, then just remove them as you see them. not the group ones though
Merging Cultures Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I don't know why women would be put off. You'd think they would want to be with someone who can get a girlfriend and won't embarrass them. Unless you were engaged to the girl, you still love her or she gave you an std, she really shouldn't care.
Finnegan Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Obviously I wouldn't have a profile pic or cover picture of an ex and myself but other than that, meh. I can't be ****ing bothered maintaining my facebook or taking it seriously or dating a girl who does.
purpleronnie Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 i think the best idea is to photoshop all the pics of your ex to make her look fat and spotty I don't need photoshop for that.
Guest MattP Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Depends how much of a slag you are really! If there are 50 odd on then it might be wise to delete a few, if you do the whole lot though she#ll probably get a bit suspicious.
Uncle Phil Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I never deleted any, I never added any photos myself but my ex added hundreds over the years. Never did me any harm leaving them on. And like you said why should you remove them, you don't have to pretend she never existed and it would take ages. If you meet a girl that's bothered by you having an ex she's probably a nutter anyway.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 6 March 2014 Author Posted 6 March 2014 go through and get rid of the easiest to find, then just remove them as you see them. not the group ones though Even whole albums of trips to Venice and alike? There are some great pictures on there of just myself but if I kept those I'd have to individually delete the other 399 she took when over there I don't know why women would be put off. You'd think they would want to be with someone who can get a girlfriend and won't embarrass them. Unless you were engaged to the girl, you still love her or she gave you an std, she really shouldn't care. Nope none of the above in my case

I can't be ****ing bothered maintaining my facebook or taking it seriously or dating a girl who does. I think this is the best answer to be fair. Its the one place where all my photographs since about 2006 have been put on. Its no different to a photo album for me

So just keep them.

I'm not talking about a girl being bothered about having an ex more that I haven't been arsed deleting photographs of the ex.
Strokes Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Id just set my account to private, change my profile to a random pic. Tell any lady im not on Facebook and wait until at least I had stuck my dick in, before making any changes. Don't sell out on the hunt
One Legged Beaver Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 And this is where the beauty of having no ex's comes into play, however tragic it may be
Lamby Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I've deleted all of mine with my ex in, ****ing lying bitch.
Lamby Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Do one-daters count as exes nowadays? No. This was like 8 months ago and I'm still not properly over it.

In all honesty, if you're over the age of 18 the only way you aren't going to have had an ex is either if you're spectacularly socially inadequate or hideous. Or both. Delete or untag the ones where you're necking or clearly loved up, no new girlfriend wants their nose rubbing in it, but keep the others.

The Welsh one speaks sense and new flames are going to know you have had exs so why bother hiding it.
Bayfox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Seems like way to much hard work. Why do people find it difficult to accept that life existed before they came along. Ok so keeping a profile pic of you necking an ex may not be great but I wouldnt go to the trouble of trying to make it look like they didnt exist.
Nugent Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I came in here expecting pictures of exes, disappointing.
SystonFox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I came in here expecting pictures of exes, disappointing. Me too! Let's see some
