World cup victory in Brazil or Prem survival?

World cup victory or relegation survival?

  1. 1. If only one could happen, do you choose England to win the world cup in Brazil, or we stay in the Premiership?

And that would have everything to do with what a top bunch of lads our players are and nothing to do with the fact we're basically 10 points clear with promotion to the Premier League all but confirmed I suppose.

I think I'd find it difficult to support a team I didn't like. I've said a few times if I were a QPR fan I'd have really struggled to want the players to succeed last season when it was so obvious many of them weren't bothered. I'd almost want relegation so we could clear out the crap and I could identify with the club again.

I agree with Matt and Corky, I don't think any player in our squad is an egotistical willy puller, we're a very supportable club atm.

I'm no mate of yours and I enjoy living in multicultural Britain.

So do I but you can't just keep letting everyone in. The country isn't big enough. Reality needs to hit home. We aren't Russia or America. We are a tiny island in the world.

Us staying up.

Probably comes down to the fact England have been shit for all my memorable lifetime. Just don't have any interest in them, find myself watching them and nit enjoying it lol every time I've watched England play they've looked boring and average. I honestly can't imagine how I'd feel if we were actually successful in something.

I really like a lot of our players, they seem genuinely with us (the fans) and work their socks off every minute of every game.

The England team is full of arrogant overpaid wankers.

There wouldn't be an England if it wasn't for historic immigration

I'm not against foreigners living here. Km friends with Indians blacks polish. I am not racist. I'm simply saying we can't keep letting anyone in. The country is one of the smallest in the world. We will have no countryside soon

The shortest flounce in history.

I've yet to meet a racist who didn't tell me how they were friends with black people and then claim they weren't racist.

93% of Great Britain isn't built on, I think we have room for a few more people.

I'd love to see England win the World Cup, but it's always been club over Country for me.

Literally, I'd rather see us win the FA Cup than England win the World Cup.

Haha what utter rubbish. That probably includes lakes and hills.

I can see why people are saying they're a silly comparison (a fairer one would be say.. Leicester winning the FA Cup v England winning the World Cup) but for me, it's simply due to feeling like I'm part of one of them, and not of the other.

I feel so little connection to the England national team it's unreal and I think this is due to a number of different factors, but the main one is the fact I never actually go. I was thinking about this earlier and I'm actually going to get to a couple of the qualifiers to see if it kicks anything off for me, a mate of mine is a big England fan as well as Leicester and I get the hint he's even more into England than he is Leicester. He was at the Euros and he's done plenty of games, home and away.

I went to the England v Ireland friendly in May and it was pretty crap. Especially at £45. Though it'd be harsh to write the experience off based on a friendly.

I'll go to a couple of these qualifiers. It might make me change my mind eventually - but right now? It's a depressing & repetitive bore and quite honestly the day we go out the World Cup will hit me less than Leicester's next loss.

Bore off. So Australia is racist because it's hard to live there?

Do we not build on hills?

Vast swathes of this country are owned by very rich land owners, time the masses claimed back the land from the Norman oppressors.

93% of the country isnt built on! You believe that?

Very tough question...on the line. Normally I always say Club over Country but just survival for 1 season?...Therefore potentially promotion and survival 2 seasons later.... World Cup win for me. I've seen Leicester in the Prem already with my own eyes...I've not seen England win the WC (and in reality probably never will at this rate).

A number of Australians I've met could very easily be described as racist, they take a great delight in being non PC and using terms like wog.

Australia isn't a member of the EU and didn't have an empire.

I think that hits the nail on the head.

The connection between fans and players just doesnt seem there with England, they are so out of they way of the general public now they almost seem like mythical figures to the average fan.

Compare that to the 90's when Gazza walked into a pub in London after running away from the ground still in his kit and boots asking someone to swop clothes with him as he was going out to a club later but wanted to get straight on the piss and you probably have one of the reasons why the whole nation absolutely loved the side during the 90's compared to the apathy a lot seem to have towards them now.

England winning the World Cup or City staying up!

I can't believe what I'm reading.

I would 'bloody love it' if England won the World Cup! The nation would go mad, everyone would be filling all the bars across the country to see the quarters, semi, final. The Nation would be in rapture!

As an Englishman I'd be so proud.

Imagine winning the final against the Mighty Brazil or the Germans!

And you'd rather have City stay up over that!

Where's your sense of English Pride people?

City can go down and come back up again.. I doubt England would win it again in my lifetime.

Anyone who wants a team full of professional footballers from all over the world who will get a massive 'staying up bonus' who just so happen to have received the best contract offer from Leicester to finish 17th in a league over English players playing for the country of your birth and residence winning the actual world cup in Brazil which might never happen again, actually needs to go and see a doctor! Sorry. Bizarre. Won't be posting on this forum again. Actually disgusted.
