midland_red Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 very glad that the triumphalism which has marked this board has given way to an appreciation that matches like tonight's will be tough - Yeovil are fighting for their lives and are not doing too badly at it. I would expect us to win, but it wont be easy...
MC Prussian Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 The difference for me tonight will be the foreigners - was, knocky and mahrez. They don't seem to have been here long enough to have caught the famous english 'bottler' trait, so i cannot see them becoming complacent. I am fully aware that the likes of de laet, schlupp etc are not english, but they have been here long enough to catch the bug. Did you get your prescriptions wrong this morning or what's this "bottler" talk all about? Schlupp played exceptionally well on Saturday, in particular from minute 20 or so onwards. And if we're talking about a particular English footballing trait, then that maybe applies to the national side, but not on a club level.

Schlupp did play well second half, i was there, and can assure you there was no dig at schlupp and de laet just listing foreign players in our squad who have been in england a number of years. And the bottler trait can exist on a club level, just look at our sides in european competitions. I wouldn't call the England team bottlers at all, yes we may have lost penalty shoot-outs, but they get dominated every game against a top 30 side in the world and deserve to lose.
DanTheFox07 Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I have a feeling that Vardy will start and if he does the buisness without getting booked be subbed at 60min's! keep him fresh for saturday!

To be fair every season at least 88 of the 92 club teams bottle it in the race for their respective league title. Can't be sure but I think that's what he means.
kingfox Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 You do realise you don't look knowledgable by listing every possible outcome tonight could hold? Shhhh or I'll get that guy in your DP's, family to kidnap you
Vardinhio Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Marek Stech makes so many errors in open play, I seriously can't see us not winning comfortably.
Fox_in_a_Box Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Do these even have a forum? Genuine question. If they do it's well hidden, the ones on google that claim to be forums actually aren't
whoareyaaa Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Can't see anything but a city win today, we are good at home and although Yeovil are fighting for survival we have too much quality imo. Seen Pearson on the train from Sheffield about 2 hours ago BOSS. looking slick.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 You do realise you don't look knowledgable by listing every possible outcome tonight could hold? +1 This should come up as a pop-up message on every pre-match thread as soon as somebody clicks "Post".
Happy Fox Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Cannot go tonight, so we will probably thrash them 6-0.
annonymous Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Don't suppose there is any links to watch tonights game online?
mikey54 Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I very much doubt it. I think Sky Sports News will be showing the goals as they happen - not literally, but within minutes.
