Nalis Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 They're scoring for fun lately, not at last thanks to the introduction of Ishmael Miller. I wouldn't underestimate their attacking threat, but I agree with their absysmal record at the other end of the pitch. That should suit us. This fixture has all the ingredients to be a very entertaining affair. I don't expect Yeovil to hold back at all, unlike negative sides such as Blackpool. To be fair to Blackpool you can't blame them for playing negatively and trying to stick to a game plan against a game running away with the league on the form they were in. We'll have to do the same at Man City, etc next season no doubt...
MC Prussian Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 yes because 11 goals in 12 is truly amazing, isnt it. they have scored a few in the past 2 games, if you look past that very little.Their recent form suggests that they'll pose a much larger threat than you will give them credit for. They've picked up a couple of really good results lately.
Bert Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 With all due respect we should be beating these. Early goal for us will do nicely.
Kitchandro Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 They are scrapping but they're not very good. We've got to have a serious off day not to win.
stuartn27 Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Time for Pearson to drop nugent Just looks lazy and lost interest to me First touch at blackburn was shocking Going for a3.1 or ay be 4-1 win to the mighty foxes

dayday Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 We have 5 games in 14 days,at some point changes will have to be made.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 We have 5 games in 14 days,at some point changes will have to be made.I think Lloyd Dyer will be brought back into the side at some point over these next few games
deep blue Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Another person who doesn't see what Nugent adds to the team besides goals That doesn't detract from observing that as the game progressed yesterday Nugent looked more and more disinterested. He probably does need to be rested for a game. Having said that, several players were below their best.
whitlock Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Is he out of contract in the summer? Might know he won't get a contact if we go up. Can't deny his work rate but fcuk me his first touch is pony.
Guest ttfn Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 That doesn't detract from observing that as the game progressed yesterday Nugent looked more and more disinterested. He probably does need to be rested for a game. Having said that, several players were below their best. I'm not sure he looked disinterested, more that he looked like he'd fallen asleep at half-time and struggled to wake up in the second half. Absolutely agree though that he had a poor game on Saturday and I've been confused about NP's near constant playing of him when there are decent alternatives available. To think that Wood is going to go through the season only starting five or six games at this level is incredible really.
Langston Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 I want an complete no mercy dicking here. No disrespect intended to Yeovil, really like the club - but they're "scraping" because they're shit and we're the best side in this godforsaken division, playing at home to boot. I'm aware how pompous and arrogant that sounds but I'm going to enjoy being a City fan and legitimately being able to act in such a manner.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 I've said it before, I don't think I've ever seen you actually construct an argument? Certainly never give any credit to opposition players. Miller has been around a bit, yes, but is currently on-form and a handful. You just call him pish.. that's about yer limit lad. Personally I'm interested to see how our big lads handle him. Oh yes, Col. Just about sums it up.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Another person who doesn't see what Nugent adds to the team besides goals He certainly offers more than just scoring goals.
Number 6 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 If Trippier is still out on Sat then I reckon that's the game for Lloyd to come back in. Him and Schlupp down that flank, with no Trippier, could cause huge damage.
lgfualol Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 I feel a 2-1, theyre bound to score from a set peice. They'll be going for corners cus we're shit at them. Nugent and James goals
Reg Vardy Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Fact is it is a squad game........and I can see changes on Tuesday night.......logical would be to rest Knocky ,Vardy and Drinkwater replace with Dyer, Wood and King....keep our best fit and suspension free....in an ideal world winning with 30 minutes left replace Schlupp, Nuge and James with Konch, Phillips and GTF....6 players,rested/played 60 minutes in peak condition for Burnley....I have absolute faith in the six players coming in/on......
foxfanazer Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 This season is spiralling into failure!!! How dare we draw to Blackburn at their ground. Must turn it around tomorrow
Fox Ulike Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Bit worried about the complacency developing before this game. Yeovil got a point away at Wigan, they won't be pushovers. They won't be taking selfies on the pitch and asking our players for autographs. They are coming here to try and fvuk our shit up! Yeovil have only lost twice in their last 9 league games. This is not the time to rest a few players in anticipation of an easy win. This is the time to be ruthless. The Yeovil game is MORE important than the Burnley game. If we beat Yeovil, then a defeat against Burnley wont make much difference to where we are now: five points clear. However, if we slip up against Yeovil, then it's Burnley away followed by Wigan away. And suddenly we're under pressure. Strongest team against Yeovil is needed, with the right attitude...
Munshi Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Wouldn't put Lloyd in just yet, Mahrez has been absolutely outstanding, if he carries this on he could become a better version of Anthony! I really do like Nugent as a player and he contributes to our game in ways its sometimes hard to tell, picks up the ball from midfield and drives at the defence, gives Vardy a chance to make runs behind the defence. Can be a little bit frustrating sometimes with his off target shots or poor decision making, however he has been a vital part of our team this season clearly showed by him having the most Assists and goals. 3-1 win for me. Vardy Nugent Mahrez
foxesfan98 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Hope the team will be: Schmeichel De Laet Wasilewski Morgan Schlupp Mahrez Drinkwater James Knockaert Nugent Wood Subs - Logan, Moore, Hammond, King, Dyer, Phillips, Vardy Vardy only on the bench so he doesn't get booked
