Miquel.... should we sign him from Arsenal?

if he really has potential then arsene probably wants to keep him. i am thinking he might want to see him 'exposed' (or not) at prem level and could allow another season on loan if that suits us.

There's a difference in having potential for Arsenal and having potential for Leicester City.

Hope we dont concede too many goals more than they did this season. Otherwise we'll need to score a 'shedload' . anyway, i dont really see your viewpoint. Wenger can make a more informed decision on his future after seeing him play at prem level. It would depend on nigel's guidance on how much game time he is likely to get. Could suit both parties ??

Well, seen to little of him to make a decent judgement but he could not displace Wes or Was when given starts earlier in the season, only Nige knows.

If Nige thinks he's good enough sign him, don't see any point in a loan for a player that will only be rotational.

You seemed to imply that if he was decent Wenger would have him at Arsenal but my point was that he might not necessarily be good enough for Arsenal but he could be good enough for us.

Sign him on a cheap contract + free deal (if possible) and loan him out to a championship side with a recall clause in case we need him back. Revaluate later on. I think this is the best action to take. I'd like to keep him as he is good and has a great attitude and fantastic potential but until he plays more football then the jury is out on him still.

I meant that arsene probably wouldnt want to sell a player until he had properly evaluated his potential. seeing him play at PL level would do that but im not sure that we will give him too much game time next season if he were to stay with us. But you never know - NP should know a decent centre back and wasyl worries me big time - i can see those big time charlie refs having a field day with him.

I saw him play at premiership level against Dzeko v man city. Didn't win a ball, lost everything in the air. He's a skillful player but needs to develop quickly strength wise. Good passer but weak!

I think he'd be great for this club, if Moore stays with us for a long time to come then they could be a great partner ship in years to come

As a 4th Choice CB you won't get any better in our position he is worth keeping on.

Having 2 young CBs in Moore and Miquel alongside the experience of Wasyl and Morgan is perfect for our prem campaign.

We wouldn't need anymore additions at Centre Half.

We would probably need someone who has played a few seasons in CB at premiership level or another top quality league. Was and Wes for all their experience have played in the championship and the Belgian top flight - neither of which can compare to lining up opposite Suarez and Aguerro. We need to strengthen the defence beyond the signing of a youthful 4th choice CB in Miquel (not that I wouldn't sign Miquel - see above posts etc.)

There have been times this season when Was and Wes have looked extremely good at the back. They might just need the pre-season to help settle in a bit more. Afterall, when Was came in, Wes moved positions slightly. We chopped and change CB's for quite a while. A bit of consistency and I wouldn't mind starting them together... BUT....

I honestly believe that if we can help both Moore and Miquel progress, they can be an awesome long-term partnership. Liam has the pace and the strength, Ignasi has the vision to pass the ball. They both play with so much passion and desire.

SIGN IGNASI MIQUEL!

i really worry if we have was and wes as our first choice pairing (not least because i wonder how many games was will actually get to finish!).  however, you see delaney, macauley, bruce as established PL CB's and you wonder how tough it can be if we have decent defensive midfield protection and atheletic full backs covering behind.

well by the looks of the end of the season Pearson was looking at playing a 451 formation so I think if we went with morgan and moore/miquel as center halfs with a center midfield of james drinkwater and king I think that could be solid but I think we should deffinatley sign him as I think he could become invaluable. I also think that morgan and wassy could get a lot of red and yellow cards as the premier league refs wont take a lot of the fouls that they commit. so I think on occasion against the weaker teams of the premier league a partnership of moore and miquel could be seen.

Playing Was and Wes as our first choice partnership  in the Premiership would worry me, purely down to a lack of pace, obviously the likes of Lescott and James Collins have proved you don't need pace to be successful but they had Kompany and Tomkins beside them. Nige will have to turn us into a counter attacking side instead of a possession based team that mae us so good.
