The premier league: "Where we belong". "Our rightful home"

These are phrases I have heard a lot recently and they really annoy me.

The reason we have been in the championship for ten years is because our football has been of championship quality- no way have we belonged in the premiership for ten years, we have belonged to the championship by right.. We have been no where good enough for the prem. Our quality of play and results alone decided where we belong.

Next year we have EARNED THE RIGHT to play in the premier league by some amazing results and great football brought about by sheer hard work by Nige and his team and some bloody hard work on the pitch by the lads. But for us stay there, we'll need to earn the right next season.

rant over.

Absolutely right - no one has a right to be there, but we have earned our place there next season. The hard work then starts stabilising us there.

I guess there will always be that small percentage with some kind of overly extrovert bragging needs. Let them be. The majority knows better.

Been to many home games?

Season ticket holder, why do you say that?! Most teams have very poor atmospheres nowadays.. Ours isn't even that bad.

Well by saying our support is premier league its right to assume you mean better than others home support in this division.

I would dispute that.

Well said that man

But its easy to get a few more chants going when we are on an 18 game unbeaten run....

Now don't get me wrong, im not saying its terrible, its just not better than others in this league...

Spot on,

We have spent far more time in the lower league during our history. For us to remain in the Premiership, should we get there, will be an extremely daunting task, make no mistake about that!

We have spent much more time in the lower divisions

A change of scenery for away days is the main reason why I wanna get promoted.Don't really care about much else.I won't jump any higher when we score in the Hollywood League than I have done this season. In fact the thought of 10 million people in Japan going mental when United score against us actually makes me wanna throw up.

And no worse either to be fair

I wouldn't say ours is good. I'd say it's one of the better of a very poor bunch.

I remember when we were on that awful run last season, the Bolton game we were supported brilliantly. The playoff game at home to Watford was deafening at times, and our fans in L1 sang for 90 minutes. I think some of our supporters don't realise that atmosphere's have now changed, much more family orientated. Been to most grounds in the Championship and I can honestly say only one or two sides have been vocally as good as us.

In a way, I agree. I don't like it when people seem to disrespect other teams either, like "oh they shouldn't be in the Premier League". Well, they should hence they've achieved to get there. No team has a right to play in any division.

The attendance argument is always annoying as well. People need to consider the size of places and whether there's just the one club.
