James has definitely been my favourite player this year, I just love how he keeps the ball when he's under pressure and manages to find a blue/grey shirt the majority of the time.

I'm surprised I'm the only one to vote for Wes. He has been our most consistent performer for the last two seasons and has been absolutely immense, probably one of, if not THE best defender in the league. I think he'll make the step up without question. And with him being skipper, he'll be a great leader and have a big impact next season

Obviously you all watch him a lot more regularly than me but I'm surprised there are so many votes for Schmeichel. Every time I've seen him he hasn't impressed me. Looks the weak link every time.

He should have saved the goal tonight no doubt but that really is a rare mistake from him. He is a Premiership quality goalkeeper. I wouldn't say that he would make the most impact though.

NP is the real answer, but the title says player and it's too easy to go for the manager, so...

Matty James for me. I think players who do what he does (under the radar, mopping up, reading the game and picking good passes that shift momentum) are very rare in the Prem, especially in one so young. If our flair players are to flourish, they need the anchor, and James will be the man to provide it...

Plenty more too, but think he'll set us apart from the strugglers...

I only see him twice a season so I'm not best placed to comment overall but last night I thought he should have saved the goal and I maintain from what I have seen against us over the last few seasons he has been one of your weaker players.

I'll be honest from the few games I have seen I don't rate him. Maybe he just hasn't performed well when he has played against Wednesday?

Knockaert is our only player that I would have no doubt would survive in most premier league teams. Has developed a maturity beyond his years his year and is looking a top top acquisition!

Easily for me it will be Nige. At the end of the day he picks the team, he makes the team, he keeps them together. While our squad is pretty decent there are others in the league that far exceed ours but it's the management that has excelled. He's got the best out of our team!   In  :pearson: we trust!

Big Nigel for me, without him this collection of players wouldn't be here & playing all time club record football and none of this would be happening.

On the /current/ playing staff, much the same as this season. Morgan at the back - Drinkwater in the middle - & Nugent's workmate helping make all of it come off.

Mahrez looks to be a real diamond too, expecting massive things from him as he settles in even more & improves
