Is King Welsh?

He's English. And a Welsh international. (Assuming his Wikipedia page is correct of course :P)

No, he's Welsh, just as James Morrison is Scottish & Patrick Viera was French. Schlupp plays for Ghana, hence he is Ghanaian.

I disagree.

We finally get to unleash our secret weapon, the best player in the world has been within our ranks all this time.

Conrad Logan - Ballon D'or winner 2015

If one club can find a way of blowing it from here then it's us.

But we won't.

Come on Leicester. Win our last 7 and we finish on 107 which pips Reading's record of 106.

I went for DD but I think the partnership with James is key. I also think prem football will suit Mahrez and Knockaert with more space in which to operate. If retained, I fancy Dyer as an impact sub to run at tiring fullbacks late in the game.

I don't think DD and James will grab the headlines but they are crucial to enable those that might do to do so (Mahrez) (try saying that sentence quickly)

Just because he's eligible to play for Wales doesn't make him Welsh. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Schlupp was born in Germany but has Ghanaian parents so I can see the logic to him being Ghanain, but I can't really see the argument for King being Welsh, other than that he has a Welsh grand parent and was never going to be good enough to play for England.

Schmeichel

De Laet

Moore

Schlupp

Knockaert

James

Drinkwater

Mahrez

Vardy

They could all make an impact for years to come in the Prem, exciting days ahead. Anyway, I've gone for Matty James, I really think he will flourish in the Prem as his consistency improves and providing he stays at the club, I can see him being our next captain.

Kasper always seems to do better against the bigger clubs.

I think he'll have a marvelous season and he's the second biggest priority in the summer (after Nige of course).

I think Kasper will will us points next season, you can see what a good shot stopper does for you with someone like De Gea. Hope Drinky thrives but I'm not sure about the rest.

Amazed how little in terms of votes Matty James has.

His arrival into the team seems to have conincided with our best run of form for years, he does that role every successful team needs in the midfield to let everyone else shine.

He could be in the Premier League a combination of what Lennon and Parker were and I think he'll play for England.

Because he's unlikely to make much of an 'impact' as such. He goes about his business in a very consistent manner but he rarely changes games. He's a bit like Busquets or Lahm in his new role, fairly no nonsense and just keeps things ticking.

Maybe, although I think people notice these players more than we acknowledge.

I certainly notice his impact when he's not there.

Yeah, obviously :P They're probably both in the top 10 players in the world. Just an example of other midfielders that are great players but fly under the radar in terms of fanfare.

Conrad will score 15 goals in the first two games as Kasper will be injured.  He will be subject to a big money tug of war between river plate and barca.  River plate will sign him after the 2nd game for £150,000,000.  To git into his new surroundings he will change his name to 'Logario'

Good thread Lee..

For me... Wes Morgan.. our success or failure next season is going to be founded upon whether the big man can make the step up in the Prem and be as commanding as he has been for us in the Championship. I think he will AND that he will have a very good season for us.
