A backup keeper no more than that hopefully. If we went into the premier league with Hamer as no. 1 I would be seriously concerned. If we have money, spend it on quality we don't need to be signing tinpot players from the lower leagues like this.

With the news about Kasper signing a new 4 year deal, which I really hope is true, I wouldn't mind Hamer here as a back up. He looked decent down the KP this season.

Could see both Schmeichel and Hamer here. If things don't go great for us Kasper will move on for a decent fee and we will have a quality replacement to step up straight away who knows the club. If we do have a couple of good years Kasper has somebody who will push him harder to keep the shirt. Great news if both come off.

It could be a case of one in and one out at Leicester City as goalkeeper Ben Hamer is set to join the club while winger Lloyd Dyer could be on his way to Watford.

Doubt it would be sold like that.

I would imagine pearson would be saying how he gives everyone a chance if they impress in training and how no one is guaranteed their place.

Would think that most players would believe in their ability to win a first team place.

I'd take Hamer on a free. We need to upgrade our cover options for goalkeeper. Kasper and Hamer leaves us very strong in that depart. If we can get Hamer in and have Kasper put pen to paper on this new deal that's being reported surely that's good business and that position sorted for next season. Sadly it may spell the end for Conrad though.
