One Legged Beaver Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 I wouldn't say no at a reasonable price but it's more than likely that he will cost a bomb, so not for me thanks.

Well the price for him in Jan was apparently 4m January's prices are always more. Plus Leeds are now not so desperate to keep him because they have the summer to replace him. I reckon he's available at about 3m.

Well I would say that most likely is a reasonable value and Nige gets the all clear from me!

sproutenator Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 Impressive goal tally in a woeful team.unsure on premiership quality?

This is before they got megabucks Cellino in, no longer need to panic sell to pay the bills.
cc_star Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Couldn't beat our defence, what chance has he against man city next year. Man City's defence? He'd bag loads... They're utter shit! The likes of Chelsea are a different matter altogether The good news is that we don't play Chelsea 38 times next season
dannythefox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 A top player in the championship most seasons while at Leeds, deserves a shot at the prem and he's not getting any younger. He's defo better than Nugent imo scores for fun in a shit team
BrummieFOX Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 28 goals in 46 games for a team in the mid able in the championship. With the righ providers I.e mahrez knockaert drinky, Nugent, he would be even better.
Guest Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Impressive goal tally in a woeful team.unsure on premiership quality? Pretty much this. I wouldn't object to getting him though. He knows where the back of the net is and would be a useful addition. Definately a better move than the rumours about Zaha or Macheda ffs.
Soar Fox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Would you expect us to try and sign him again Bert?
Dan Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 I also heard that and also heard there's something in this. Who knows.
Bert Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Would you expect us to try and sign him again Bert?Yep
LCCFox96 Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Even if you take away McCormack's goal threat his creativity and link up play amongst the very average forward players at Leeds is impressive. Nobody can claim he scores fluky, poacher goals - he scores a variety of goals from all distances with clever chips, daint touches and places alot of shots perfectly. His workrate is not too shabby either. I'd see him as a step up from Nugent but at the same time a front 3 of Vardy, Nugent and McCormack would work very well. I disagree on the bad signing notion and do think he will be one of our signings.
cjslcfc Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Anyone who scores as many goals as he has in as poor a team as he has played in is worth looking at. It's not just his goals though. Whenever I've watched Leeds' matches on TV it does seem like he has a workrate and a creative/link-up side to his game. If it's true we were interested in January (where signings for the prem would have also been in mind) then I'd expect us to go for him
