Larry_LCFC Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Never thought I would say this and don't get me wrong, Im glad Leicester City are back in the big time where they belong, but there is a part of me that will really miss playing in the Championship. To me its one of the best and most unpredictable leagues there is. Plenty of homegrown talent and some incredible play that just goes unnoticed. Good, honest English football. The Premier League will be a whole different kettle of fish, and not necessarily for the better. I know I shouldn't feel like this but surely Im not the only one?
DB11 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 You won't miss it if we're coming back this time next year
AndWhat? Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I get what you're saying and to an extent I agree. But 10 years out of the big time is too much and I won't miss it. Time to step up and show the big boys what we can do.
Raj Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 miss this league!??? you must be joking...we've had some right shite seasons!!!
Brown Fox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I think the fact we've pissed the league is part of how you're thinking. Winning every week is great fun but I don't think there's anything fun about finishing 17th every season like under Levein etc. can't wait to get out of here!
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 April 2014 Author Posted 26 April 2014 miss this league!??? you must be joking...we've had some right shite seasons!!! But its been fun being a big fish in a small pond We will be the underdogs for just about every match next season. Don't get me wrong, it will be a great experience thats for sure!
lgfualol Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 The only thing I will miss is the extra games. Apart from that, **** this stupid league. Also, we wont be known as big spenders in the prem :-)

I know I shouldn't feel like this but surely Im not the only one? yes I agree but look what we've been missing in the premier lge - cheating, diving , biting , shirt pulling , racist , moaning and over paid players - I suppose we'll have to give it a go though
Raj Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 we weren't that big...its took us 10 friggin years to get promoted!!! !! Be nice to see us against some of the elite footballers in the world The underdog mentality again!
Salieri Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I remember when we first got relegated and thinking 'Oooh, this could be nice for a bit of a change, get used to winning again most weeks and bouncing back in a year or two (at most) stronger than ever'. How wrong I was. Would gladly stay out of this league for a very, very long time to come now.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 April 2014 Author Posted 26 April 2014 The first season I really started following Leicester was the championship season after we got relegated from the prem so its all ive ever known. Guess im just too used to it haha
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I do kind of agree. We've very little hope of real success in the EPL, it'll be enough to stay up and steadily build on that. We won't ever be able to compete with the top 6 on more than an occasional basis. However, I'm looking forward to the challenge, and watching how we cope. I hope we keep some perspective tho when we aren't winning so many games, because this feeling right now is fantastic.
shailen Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 The excitement of playing Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool.....having some proper in depth analysis in MOTD, and seeing the highest standard of football. Winning is fun, but I would rather struggle and finish 15th next year then finish 1st in the Championship. It's all about trying to compete with the best teams out there

Manwell Pablo Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I wont miss this division at all, We've spent far too much time in it during my time following the club, and any one who does is also taking getting out of it for granted. It's a division literally full of ex Premier League clubs crowing about how big there are and how they deserve to be in the big time, searching for anyway they can to get back to "where they belong." You belong in the division you play in and I wont for a second be looking back I wishing we were playing Huddersfield on a Tuesday night, even when we are getting a hideing off Chelsea, roll on next season.
Captain... Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I will miss this season, but not this fvcking league, fvck it, hope we never return.
Captain... Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Helsinki syndrome??? Thought it was stockholm syndrome? It is: Stockholm syndrome is sometimes erroneously referred to as Helsinki syndrome
Donut Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 How can you miss being in the championship, the second tier, when youre going up to the Premier League, one of the best and most exciting leagues worldwide. What genuinely is to miss about leaving this shitdump behind, even if it is only for one season
The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 we've been fed some proper shit sandwiches in this league over the past few years, f**k this league in all honesty.
Kitchandro Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Easy to say when you've pissed the league and have presumably been drinking all day.

What genuinely is to miss about leaving this shitdump behind, even if it is only for one season The premier league isn't all its cracked up to be. Theres more playacting than the west end and more diving than the Olympics. To me the championship is a hard fought, honest league where all the crap from the EPL is frowned upon. Im looking forward to giving it a go against the big boys, but there are certain aspects of the championship that I will miss.
