Im actually going to miss The Championship.

I guess it's like moving out of your parents house for the first time and going it alone.

Sure, you will miss aspects of it and life won't be so easy, but it sure will be exciting!

Its like the Shawshank Redemption with the character Red talks about being locked up for so many years you become institutionalised. I for one have had enough

Can Almost guarantee we will be on last in the blink and miss it section every week on MOTD

Still will get more coverage then on the FLS. At least 5 mins of highlights.

Because my opinion differs from yours? Thanks for the constructive feedback.

Probably more to do with the fact that what you've said is out right stupid. But you get overly defensive if you want.

It's brilliant for seasons like this, great fun to be winning and be so dominant, it drags when you have seasons like the three before, where we mixed great football with insipid away performances at clubs with resources far smaller than ours.

I'll miss some aspects but glad to be looking on as an outside observer, we've been far too good and need to test ourselves against the biggest and best.

Never thought I would say this and don't get me wrong, Im glad Leicester City are back in the big time where they belong, but there is a part of me that will really miss playing in the Championship. To me its one of the best and most unpredictable leagues there is. Plenty of homegrown talent and some incredible play that just goes unnoticed.  Good, honest English football. The Premier League will be a whole different kettle of fish, and not necessarily for the better. I know I shouldn't feel like this but surely Im not the only one? lol

Completely agree.

If we stay faithful to our attacking instincts next season I won't mind but if we compromise just so we can be on the bbc 10 minutes earlier then I'd rather see the most exciting league in the world.

Once we're in the Premier league and all that goes with it, good or bad, we will all realise it is the place to be.

Our history suggests we will have the 'fun' of the championship at some point again in the future, hopefully not for a few years though!

I'll only miss this division because of the past two, three years. Not just due to the fact that Pearson, his staff, the players - buoyed by the Thai owners' investment and dedication - have catapulted us back to the top tier, but I'll also look back at the crazy times under Eriksson, the excitement, the highs and lows.

And let's not forget the marvelous League One campaign that brought back a lot of goodwill and a sense of togetherness.

I'd say that the 2008/2009 season to me was the catalyst for our "resurrection". In hindsight, relegation to the third tier was a blessing in disguise, as it acted as a cleansing ritual and helped us to shake off a lot of the bad mojo surrounding the club.

What's probably the oddest thing for a large part of our younger fanbase is the fact that they've never seen Leicester play in the Premier League before at all, having gotten used to Championship football in the past ten years as a status quo. They've essentially grown up with life in the second division.

I've never seen us in the top flight, I quite like being a big fish in a small pond and to me a 15th placed finish in the prem doesn't sound very appealing but on the flip side I can't wait to see us playing the biggest clubs in the country.

Totally agree. Ive really enjoyed chasing promotion the past few years, despite the disappointments. Next season will be an exciting experience with some good away support coming to the KP. Just don't want to spend the whole season as relegation fodder. Really hope we can put forward a good account of ourselves and get some good wins, which we should be capable of doing under NP.

I won't miss it in the slightest, this last season but after the management spells of Craig Levein and Gary Megson I'm just thankful I still follow football

When the fixture list is released is when it will hit you , the sheer excitement and magnitude of every fixture will be something else and you will realise that saying you will miss this league was nothing more than nativity, and if we are relegated the opposite feeling occurs, when the fixture list comes out is nothing short of depressing having been in the big time.

I agree with you completely. Chuffed to bits we're promoted, loving the idea of playing the big boys on a level playing field and we deserve to be up and in the big time for the way we've played this year.

But there is a lot to be enjoyed about the Championship, and a lot left to be desired in the Prem. I hate the idea that if the boot is brushed then 'that's contact, not a dive', but there's a couple of those given every week in the Prem. It's a shame that the best sides outside the top 4 are Man City reserves and Chelsea reserves, because the money is so skewed. The championship is exciting and unpredictable, with clubs that have character, and it could have been any of about 18 teams going up. Only 5 teams can compete for the PL.

The Championship is a great league with a better ethos than the Prem, more likable players and, often, likable managers too. I'll miss those elements of it, but wouldn't stay down for all the balti pies in the world. We are Leicester and we are Premier League!

1) Players dive in the championship. Players play act in the championship. Players look to influence referees in the championship. Fact.

2) The Championship has a better "ethos" than the Premiership? what does that even mean?

3) Only a few teams compete for the Premiership because they are actually good, rather than the broadly similar unpredictable mishmash of shite results in the championship owing to the fact that few teams can play decent football.

4) Championship clubs have "character"? ........ Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa.......clubs that have carried the flag for england in Europe, won multiple FA cups, League titles, these are clubs of TRUE character, with historical legacies. Some dosshole like Barnsley aint a club with character. Its exactly what it is, a small club with a dump of a ground.

5) Likeable managers? Are Wenger, Mourinho's off beat comments, Martinez tiki taka style not good enough for you? Do you prefer Italian nobodies for project pozzo and stuart gray? sheesh

With all respect, i think you can tell who are the more modern fans and possibly the ones who havent seen Leicester in the Premiership before. I was lucky enough to watch Leicester immediately before O'Neill at championship level, and then the magical premiership years at filbert street. I watched us win carling cups, play Atletico Madrid, regularly beat top sides like Liverpool in front of a passionate Filbert Street crowd. It was 10,000 times better than the absolute crap i have watched for the last decade up until now when we can finally escape the shackles of the championship.

Even micky adam's 1 season in the premiership gave some great memories, like going away to Eastlands and stuffing 3 past Man City, putting 4 past Leeds in front of the sky camera's, and i can say i was witness to one of the be#st individual performances ive ever seen or will be likely to see when Ruud Van Nistelrooy scored a magnificent hattrick for Man Utd.

I couldnt stand 5 more championship minutes after Doncaster after reliving all of that.

I'll miss it if it means we become another 'Prem' team. With a new foreign manager every 6 months. And more foreign players.

It would completely dilute our identity and reputation which has been built since the start of Pearsons first reign.

I don't understand anybody who passionately supports a team which is full of people who have no affiliation or interest in the club.

Can't aargue with this. Listen to yourselves, the premiership is the only place to be. It's better in every sense, in particular atmosphere. Barnsley away is not a desirable fixture.

I know a Wigan fan who says he isn't too bothered about going straight back up this season because the Championship is that good, but after 6/7 years in the PL it's probably easy to say that + winning more games, new places to visit etc.

For the success we'll have i'll miss it but as someone else said we've been waiting 10 years for this, so i'll get over it.
