5_Westwood Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 I tell you a player I do quite like and seeing as Betis have just been relegated I think he may be up for coming, Alvaro Vadillo, We're not linked or anything but being a follower of the Los Beticos I rate him as a footballer, creative and a more old fashioned style wide man as opposed to Mahrez and Knockaert, another young exciting option. But Again probably wont happen.
bovril Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 No I did not, Johan was a million times the player Mancini was, I was making the point that without asking we'll never know will we? I'm not fighting any battle, I think it's just as realistic as you lot do, I'm just saying sometimes, just sometimes strange things happen that is all. To be honest I wish i'd never brought it up, the stick I'm getting now. Cruyff was one of the greatest but Mancini wasn't a million miles behind him. One of the most talented players ever in Italian football, it was a privilege to watch him play for City. I'll never forget the cross he put in for Muzzy Izzet vs Chelsea in 2001 (Izzet missed).
Bayfox Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 In muzzys defence he was the only player close to being on the same wavelength as mancini at that time. Mancini in is pomp at sampdoria was class. Infact if it wasn't for baggio breaking onto the seen he would have had a lot more caps. That era for italy was class. Vialli, zola, Signori, baggio, mancini. It's mad to think just before that era, in italia 90 they had to use a relative unknown.
the_enlightened_one Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Whoever posted this or whoever thinks this is realistic are off their rocker
sam231 Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Get Micah Richards in tom cleverley on loan ngog on a free Darren bent on the cheap caulker from Cardiff, inan from galatasary and a decent lb and schmeichel and Nugent to sign a new contract could have a top 10 finish.

Mikey Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 How are people debating whether they'd take Micah Richards for Leicester Would never happen, as delightful as it would be.
MPH Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 He'll jump at the chance to sign for us and will slot in nicely with the 30k a week wage cap...
Westlife Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 He'll jump at the chance to sign for us and will slot in nicely with the 30k a week wage cap... Thats exactly what I was thinking, surely he must be on around 90k a week? I'm all for improving the squad, but not at the expense of the harmony within the squad and wage structure.
gosfox Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 I saw Micah in a queue for tickets with Nigel last night at the Curve....I'm sure they were in the queue for Jack and the Beanstalk.....probably on loan till the January transfer window
Banks Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 N'Gog, and Darren Bent... If we signed these two we might as well be confirmed as as Championship team already. Surely that has to be a wind up?!
MGLCFC Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 N'Gog, and Darren Bent... If we signed these two we might as well be confirmed as as Championship team already. Surely that has to be a wind up?! This - Not good enough for the Championship - this would be a backward step.
artursteppe Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 I cannot see us bringing in a right back when we have a perfectly good first choice selection in Richie De Laet. If Nigel sees Richards as a right side central defender then maybe he might go for him. No point getting him for right back when Richie is one of our top six or seven players in the squad right now. Other positions are much more of a priority than right back. eg:- left back, left side central defender, central/defensive midfielder, striker and reserve goalkeeper, and possibly an attacking midfielder.
Ayelstone johnny Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 He's out of contract so it's a free he's a useful players and got prem experience
5_Westwood Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 I think that Richards covers a couple of areas in the squad, he can cover at Right back and Centre Half, which I know has been Liam Moore's job, however I would much rather see Moore stick to being a centre back as I think he has serious credentials as a future England player given the right development. I also agree that we need some cover at LB, whilst I am a fan of Jeff at LB I do worry when he comes up against the top sides in the league as he has been a striker all his life, barring the last couple of seasons where he's been both.
RizLCFC Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 He's out of contract so it's a free he's a useful players and got prem experience He's got a year left!

The atmosphere was incredible considering they'd basically gone down already. Vadillo does look decent. Would take Adan in a heartbeat if Schmeichel left too.
Westlife Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 Richards has a vague link to Pearson through the England u21 set up hasn't he? That's probably why we have had a link. I can't see him taking a wage cut, or making a jump from Man City - particularly with them in limbo through FFP and the required quota of 'homegrown' players. If anything, he'll go to Liverpool, or someone of similar status.

ousefox Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 Beñat? He went to Bilbao last year. Good player though. All our Spanish fans raved about him constantly
