5_Westwood Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 Benat is QUALITY, but he's gone back to his Basque roots, I'd still take him though, he was attracting interest from Chelsea year before last, Betis' financial situation has totally destroyed the this season, all their best players had to be sold. Adan was Real Madrid before moving to Betis wasn't he? good keeper but he isn't better than Kasp but if the worst should happen then yeah he's a good replacement. The atmosphere at the Benito Villmarin is always good, their fans are very passionate, more so than many English grounds, and if it was the Seville derby then WOW you are lucky and tbh they literally hate each other to the core, rich vs poor etc. Jonathan Pereira is another player I quite like, very pacey and clever footballer, met him after a game in Havant & Waterlooville too, Betis won 7-0 a few years ago, the entire squad were brilliant anyway I'm now totally off topic.
enex Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 60 grand a week (one of man city's cheaper players) according to this http://www.tsmplug.com/football/man-city-players-salaries-2014/
5_Westwood Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 HAHA, Yeah I wonder where my off topic ranting comes from, but to continue, where in gods name have you been?

nickelbyfox Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Very much doubt this will happen - but think he would be amazing given the chance to play regularly
Tommy G Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 NASTATIC ON £75K A WEEK...NO WONDER THEY ARE IN TROUBLE WITH FFP
Fox Ulike Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Yeah I like this one. He's only made 9 league appearances in two years - so would be a bit of a risk. Out of contract though... I think he might be worth a punt. We could allow him to kick-start his career again too.
Big_Nige Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Would like this, won't happen though. I'd take Rodwell of their hands too. Both talented and both wasting their time rotting in Man City reserves (which doesn't exist). With the world cup squad announced I wonder if they think 'what if' or if they're just more concerned looking at their bank balance. Winning the title for a team who you don't feature for must be rather souless. When Richards first broke though years back I was convinced he'd be England Captain one day.
5_Westwood Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 I know this is a little left field and a lot of people are saying it 'won't happen' I'm just thinking that maybe if Micah really thought about it, and how has career has gone he would want football and I think we could give him that in abundance, and to be involved day in day out in an up and coming side with huge potential could be enough for him to say 'it's not all about money' I know it's different but look at Tafty, he could have sat at LCFC in development squad and earned fairly well, but he wanted more and what he wanted was competitive football, some players just think like that. (I know that sums of money are vastly different I am just using him as an example before anyone jumps on my back.)
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Would prefer Lescott. RB is one of the few positions we look alright in.
Stevosevic Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Surprised this thread is still open, thought we just had threads for linked players?
Carlos88LCFC Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Is Sinclair still there? He would be worth a shout. Not heard anything from him since Swansea! Liverpool/Arsenal will want better than Richards. He will move there and sit on the bench. Agger/skirt and merts/kosh are both solid partnerships that would only be broken up with pure class. It would be a sideward step. If he moves it would be for first team football. He's a Manc so living in Manchester is easy for him. Doubt he would move for anything other than to play football. Could be a possibility, our owners are flexing their muscles in the press about top 5 will have a few agents attention. He would be a great addition, premiership experience and a point to prove. Exactly what we need to be looking for! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wakeyfox01 Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Sinclair couldn't get in a poor West Brom side. Don't know why people keep suggesting him.

Don't know why people keep suggesting him. they're probably hoping his girlfriend comes with him

Bert Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 He'll want more than what we would be willing to offer him.
Guest MattP Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 he'll end up at Liverpool, they wanted him in January but couldn't agree a fee I'm baffled by this why would Liverpool who have England's first choice right back want England's fourth choice right back? They should be pressing onto sign players who will help them win the league, not drift back into 6th/7th. We have a pefectly good right back in RDL anyway, it's one of the last positions on the pitch we need to strengthen and probably our strongest across the back four.
Dan Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 I reckon he'll go somewhere like West Ham. The last thing I want us doing is signing players on far more than they're worth. Even if they're a slight improvement on the current player (De Laet in this case) creating a squad disparity would absolutely wreck everything we've done. £60k a week and he's played 9 games in 2 years? You'd have to be utterly mental to consider it.

Yeah, I said the same earlier, I would look at every other position before right back.
Jimmy Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Did you watch Glen Johnson during the run in? He basically did his best to give it away
Stadt Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Richards would be England's first choice RB if it wasn't for injuries.
hackneyfox Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 I like De Laet but for me we definitely need cover, neither Moore or Was look comfortable when covering for De Laet.
