Conspiracy Theories

I liked the Diana one.  She spent the evening in Fayed's hotel, drinking Fayed's drinks and eating Fayed's food, before getting into Fayed's car with Fayed's son and being driven into a wall by Fayed's chauffeur.  It's got Prince Philip's fingerprints all over it.

Unless of course, Prince Phillip is Fayed

5 conspiracy theories which turned out to be true

There are types of stories called “conspiracy theories” and the people who teach them are considered by “society” as crazy fanatics who often need medical treatment. What if I tell you that “society” should take some of that medical treatment, because sometimes such incredible stories, nobody believed in, turn out to be 100% true.

What if I tell you that the doctors did not treat us, just wait until we die to cut our bodies? 1. Tuskegee syphilis experiment

In the years 1932-1972, there were a series of experiments on about 400 syphilis-infected black citizens of the United States. The study selected the poor, simple and uneducated – most of them did not even know about their illness. U.S. Public Health Service had promised free treatment to patients. In fact, they were given aspirin. The purpose of this “experiment” was to observe a progressive disease in representatives of the black race, and the scientific autopsy of deceased participants in these studies. As a result, 28 people died directly of syphilis, 100 died as a result of complications directly related to the disease, 40 women were infected by unconscious patients, and 19 children were born with congenital disease.

The sad truth about the Tuskegee Experiment was confirmed in 1997 by President Bill Clinton, who officially and publicly apologized to the eight surviving participants in these studies.

What if I tell you that the U.S. government itself commits “acts of terror” on its land, just to have an excuse to invade another country? 2. Operation Northwoods

In 1997, as a result of the murder of J.F. Kennedy, fifteen hundred pages of documents entitled “Operation Northwoods” were declassified. In the 60s, the United States was preparing for war with Cuba. To fire up the war machine public support was needed. In turn the defense secretary presented a paper called “Justification for U.S. Military Intervention in Cuba” so they had a whole range of interesting provocations, such as terrorist attacks involving the blowing up military bases, starting fires, aircraft hijacking, “landing” of Cuban troops , bombings, and even the sinking of a boat full of armed Cubans.

see the full document for yourself here

These false flag terrorist attacks were to be carried out by the CIA on a massive scale so that the citizens of the United States would feel threatened by Fidel Castro and the government had an excuse to start a war. The plan was never implemented however, as president Kennedy met with the General Lyman Lemnitzer the plan for the operation was rejected. This time it did not work …

What if I tell you that it is just about oil? 3. Nayirah Testimony

In August 1990 there was conflict between Iraq and Kuwait, mostly over oil fields as Saddam Hussein accused Kuwaitis of theft of these resources. On October 10th the whole world turned its eyes toward a fifteen-year old girl named Nayirah, who wept profusely as she talked about inhumane crimes committed by Iraqi soldiers. The young Kuwaiti was to witness the killing of more than 300 babies in a hospital. The dramatic speech touched the hearts of viewers and managed to drum up overwhelming support for the involvement of the United States in this conflict and the outbreak of the Gulf War.

When the battle dust settled, someone took a closer look at Nayirah. Quickly it became apparent that the sobbing girl in front of millions of viewers was the daughter of Sheikh Saud Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah– Kuwaiti Ambassador to the United States and a member of the royal family. The child was handed to PR whizzes – Hill & Knowlton company, where she passed a course in comprehensive acting training. It had to work out – the company bosses signed an $11.9 million contract with the Kuwaiti royal family. The task was simple — to persuade the U.S. military to take action against Iraq. Nayirah lied. This time it worked …

What if I tell you that the leading Nazi scientists got a job in the USA after the war? 4. Operation Paperclip.

World War II was coming to an end and nothing more could change the situation of the Third Reich. American special forces had acknowledged that it would be a pity if some people lost their lives, especially those whose knowledge and experience could potentially serve the interests of the United States. As part of Operation Paperclip, they smuggled into the U.S. a group of gifted scientists from the Nazi rocket industry, medicine and chemical weapons divisions.

In the safe arms of Uncle Sam there were, among others, Wernher Von Braun (SS-man, the creator of the famous missile V-2), Kurt Blome (a doctor specializing in biological weapons, which tested their inventions on prisoners in Auschwitz) and Hubertus Strughold (“father of space medicine” who examined the effect of extremely low temperatures on the human body in camp Dachau). In total, 700 German “men of science”, found their new home on American soil.

What if I tell you that the government controls your mind? 5. MK-Ultra

It turns out that playing with people’s minds was actually done by the CIA a good half a century ago! In the 60s, thanks to the NY Times reporters, details of the MK-Ultra project came to light, which was aimed to investigate the human ability to be controlled by the use of certain chemicals, subliminal messages, electrical impulses and psychoactive substances. The project itself consisted of a number of sub-projects. For example, MK-Search was designed to create the perfect truth serum that could be used on captured Russian spies.

They also looked into research on the practical use of LSD. Experiments were conducted on prostitutes, prisoners and people with mental illness. Often times without their knowledge or consent. One such experiment was to give the drug to seven volunteers continuously for 77 days … Among the substances, with which the CIA dealt was also amphetamines, psilocybin and mescaline. They also experimented with hypnotic seances. When information about MK-Ultra was released to the public, a number of committees of inquiry were established and this research was formally and publicly condemned.

It is often said that the infamous project was one of the factors which resulted in the generation of the hippie movement. Ken Kesey – author of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, as a volunteer, was participating in one of the experiments, prepared by the CIA. The effect of LSD on the human mind intrigued the writer so much, that he became one of the first proponents of the use of psychedelic drugs in the context of recreation. Another member of psychedelic experimentation was Robert Hunter of the Grateful Dead …

Interesting read if nothing else. Number 1 is absolutely horrendous, never came across that in my life. I'm not overly surprised by number 4 at all, I wouldn't even consider it a conspiracy theory. Obviously what went on was unforgivable and must never be forgotten, but when do morals come into it when it involves the government. They were great minds and were undoubtedly going to get poached, as it were.

Didn't our own Royal family apparently have something to do with Diana dying?

I don't believe conspiracy theories as such, but I do bloody enjoy watching, listening and reading about them, some of the 9/11 ones are brilliant.

Watch "Unlawful Killing"

Oh you can't its banned in the UK.

But watch it anyway, eye opening.

Funded by Mohammed al Fayed wasn't it? I bet that was balanced view of events  ;)

I think the title is a big clue. Not dismissing the possibility but like other events a more not so public way could have been found to do the dastardly deed.

Fairly sure number 4 was known anyway - still, what's it actually done in practice? Bit of technology and the plot for a captain america movie. Not really the government covering up shocking betrayals. As for 5 - so what? they may have worked on the stuff, but there's no such thing as a truth serum - they don't work.

Anyway, because I enjoy taking the piss out of tin-foil conspiraloons:

Re: the moon landings, why do people always say if they were faked Russian would know about it. How does anyone know what Russia knows? Do people really think that governments release press releases on everything they know and tell the truth about anything to people?

Given they inflitrated pretty much then entirety of the various US secret services during the Cold War (especially the early parts) I think it's safe to say a conspiracy of that magnitude (and it would have had to be huge) within the US Government would become known to them.

So what are you saying you don't believe the moon landings because of what?

Don't you think if Russia thought the US faked the landings given the race between the two nations they would do everything they could to debunk it?

They were busy faking the Soyuz programme.

I reckon the Yanks faked the space chimp. He was definitely dodgy

Energy (oil and gas) companies have the patents to lots of renewable technology (highly efficient solar panels etc) and it is at a stage where it is ready for deployment, but they're suppressing the tech in order to wring maximum profit out of dwindling oil and gas supplies (the price will obviously soar as it runs out) before coming in to save the day with the revolutionary 'new tech' and so carry on having control of the energy market for the forseeable future.

Probably not, but you never can tell.

During the race, probably - I'm not sure it would be easy to find out if i.e. it was filmed using the technology of that era as the recordings/photos were horrendous. After, who knows? I would assume all kind of dealings between countries goes on behind the scenes that no one has a clue about.

I am not saying re: the landings I am 100% sure either way, just that I don't think a lack of Russia coming out to the world saying "they were faked" means anything.

You don't think they could track a rocket travelling through space or the radio and television signals transmitted between the 2?

Do you not think a technically advance nation like Japan with virtually no fossil fuels are trying hell for leather to find an alternative for nuclear?

Any company that invented clean, cheap energy would make trillions. You wouldn't put off bringing something to the market like that and risk another firm bringing it to market first.

You would if the leading oil and gas firms had an agreement not to 'bother' each other, as it were, which seems to be the case right now.

The reasoning is sound though - the difference between getting maximum profit from the collapse of the oil/gas market before bringing this new tech in and just bringing it in now perhaps isn't as big as I'd thought.

No, how would they do that? Using 1960s technology?

No, how would they do that? Using 1960s technology?

They had TVs and radios during the 60s.

So... the Russians could verify the moon landings by watching the TV footage, which was grainy, fuzzy and very low resolution, and was also retransmitted by a camera filming another TV at NASA (what a strange way to do it?) which further made the whole thing a giant fuzzy mess. Ok...

Nope, but they could use their own stations to record Apollo 11's telemetry data and have at least a reasonable idea of where it was at any one time (the radio signal was continuous, it couldn't just be sent back to Houston, you know).

And (as has been said before), if they thought it was a hoax themselves, why wouldn't they bust it open with reasoning and then go for the Moon themselves? It's not like they and the US were particularly friendly at the time.

Posted

I think that if for a moment the Russians had thought it had never happened they would have made a greater effort to debunk it.

They would have had spies inside NASA gathering evidence for the last 45 years and not relying on some geek wanting to publicise a book on conspiracy theories..

Posted

I'd have thought Soviet satellites would have monitored the US continuously, so the lack of evidence of a launch would have looked sus. There's also the issue that the USSR and USA could barely fart without the other's spies knowing about it. It would have taken too much skullduggery to blind the Russians to fake moon landings.

Unless it's all a Zionist conspiracy, and the only thing on the moon is an Israeli flag and a kosher butchers.

Had a good one on Facebook. One of the private groups I use had a bloke come on asking for help for his friend. Without going into too much detail his friend was waiting for ESA back payment and wanted somewhere to stay until the money came through and he could put a deposit on a flat. Anyway there were a couple of replies of advice. Then he started posting about how his friend had been excluded from the housing list for rehousing and how all the Councillors were freemasons. He went on to say that he had been done ten years ago for doing a hunger strike on the council's offices steps and received an ASBO. I put my ten penny worth in by giving out contact details of people that could help and from what he said he would be on the priority list. He replied with he has tried everything but everyone he asked for help was a Freemason. I asked the question, 'Why would someone who is involved with a secret society put his career at risk by publicly exposing unlawful activities? Of course the police and judges were members too.

At this point I lost interest. Everytime someone posted some advice he changed the subject to Freemasonary and how the whole government is involved. In the end I typed. 'This friend of yours, is it you?' Someone typed I was thinking the same.

I refreshed the page to view a new post and the whole thread had been removed by the admin. A Freemason?

I suspect he or his friend or both are seriously in need of psychiatric help But he was refusing to see reason. Even said people broke into his house and beat his friend up. Work of the Masons. I should not laugh but it does make me smile retelling it.

Am I being heartless?

No, the signal would have to be transmitted from the moon, therefore they could track the signal. They've been able to find out where something is transmitted from virtually since radio was invented.
