Something wierd has happened to my PC. I was doing something on a games page and the whole screen as gon sideways, I am now logged on with my laptop which took ages as it was asking to install updates and would not accept my login details for here.

Anyway I have tried one or two things but it is not easy when having to look at the screen sideways. Did a restart but no good. I am sure that you can restore settings to a previous time but cant find the right place.

I think, if you search for "system restore" via the start menu search box it should take you to the right place

I couldn't get on the internet this morning. Something wasn't configured or something :dunno:. I went on system restore and put the settings back 3 days which cured it.

I'm looking for system restore but cant see the reset part. Looking on my laptop first but difficult with the specs I have on. Dont know if my eyes are getting worse or not. Also I had to install something which requires a restart

I may have done something like that. I was on a game that required the use of the arrow keys and was getting nowhere with it. It was a Yahoo game.

Depends on your graphics card, but you should easily fix it:

Right click on your desktop > graphic options > rotation > normal.

That worked that was suggested above. alt-ctrl-up key. Tried the down key first and that displayed it upside down which would be OK if standing on my head.

Tried the desk top way found display and rotation changed that and it went sideways again. Used ctrl up key to put it right. I now know what to do next time and wont panic.

can restart the laptop now and go back on the PC. For some reason I am not being allowed to edit. coming up with No Such Topic

I've just had a letter off Talktalk telling me I've exceeded my 40GB download limit but I hardly ever download anything. Would the viewing of football on the internet I do on firstrow etc account for it or are Talktalk just trying to get me buy a higher limit?

have you logged into your account to check your usage ? you can check your usage history, and i've never gone much over 15 and i've been watching a lot of stuff.

i'd find it hard to believe you've gone over 40

just checked mine and ive only used 4 this month,

this is what they say 40 should get you

Based on average file sizes - you can get all this for 40GB.

Webpages 10000 Digital pictures 500 MP3s 500 YouTube 20 hours iTunes HD(1080p)trailer 20 trailers iPlayer SD 20 hours iPlayer HD 8 hours 30 min Spotify Free 30 hours

I think you can type your router number into the url bar at the top and go into your router settings. It tells you some info in there if you know the password.

When I have my ps3 on it says so in the router 'wireless' tab. Not sure if it would say if someone outside was logged in too.

Your router number is something like 192.166.2.255.

Just change your wireless password?

You're joking. I'm not spending 3 hours on hold to a call centre in India when I cock it up and can't connect to the internet.

Webbo, watching live footy on the internet can be one of the worst things you can do for your allowance. It's all dependant on the quality mind you, but imagine watching 90 minutes of youtube a day and you get the idea. I'm not to surprised you've got to 40GB of usage in that case.

Your wifi is secure if, when you first connected to it, you were asked for a password. Nearly all wireless routers come with passwords these day. Five years ago none of them did. Was tragic.

I exceed 40GB easily every month. Sometimes in a week!

No-one ever managed to make a suggestion for my chinese made tablet problems.

Do normal computer repair guys usually know about tablets?

That looks like it could be a trojanbot.

Format the hard drive and install malwarebytes. That should sort it.

Only format the hard drive if you've got a cd with your soundcard driver on it though.

Not sure that this is 'sound' advice
