wakeyfox01 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Dropping Gerrard is madness. Constantly gives the ball away and doesn't shield the defence either. We're playing much better football without him.
GingerrrFox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Dropping Gerrard is madness. He's so static and predictable in possession. He gives us no movement in the midfield area and everything goes so slowly through him. In this 2nd half we've looked a better side, what's changed?
Gary Eatfood Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Have to question the wisdom picking these as your opponents in the last game before the World Cup. Especially if they have a reputation for reckless tackles and flying elbows.
ScouseFox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 drop gerrard hahaha. isn't ginger fox the one who was adamant the answer to our midfield was jonjo shelvey?
GingerrrFox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 drop gerrard hahaha. isn't ginger fox the one who was adamant the answer to our midfield was jonjo shelvey? Nope Ross Barkley is though. Gerrard = slow, static, predictable.
wakeyfox01 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 drop gerrard hahaha. isn't ginger fox the one who was adamant the answer to our midfield was jonjo shelvey? So it's merely coincidence we look better without him then. The myth of Steven Gerrard isn't enough to justify his selection anymore.
Tielemans63 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Watching England is not a good idea when you're half asleep but want to stay awake. Bloody boring isn't it? Anyone up for a game of I Spy?
Unabomber Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Bloody boring isn't it? Anyone up for a game of I Spy? Yeah go on.
Tielemans63 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Yeah go on. Okay, here we go... I Spy, with my little eye, something beginning with C
ScouseFox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 So it's merely coincidence we look better without him then. The myth of Steven Gerrard isn't enough to justify his selection anymore. yes it is obviously a coincidence that in 25 minutes in a friendly we have looked a bit more positive since he went off. the coincidence is that barkley came on at the same time, it's not gerrard going off it's barkley coming on.
MooseBreath Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 This has been a thoroughly shit performance. Combined with the thuggish opponents and thunderstorm break it has been a bit of a farce.
SystonFox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Another super finish from Sturridge. Salmon out of water
MooseBreath Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 yes it is obviously a coincidence that in 25 minutes in a friendly we have looked a bit more positive since he went off. the coincidence is that barkley came on at the same time, it's not gerrard going off it's barkley coming on. Barkley has been no better than Gerrard. He's only had about three touches. Hardly a game changing peperformance.
Unabomber Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Okay, here we go... I Spy, with my little eye, something beginning with C Clothes?
Hollism Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 This is the exact opposite of a great game of football.

As well as the quick passing and movement of Wilshere who has the legs to play the high tempo game we've played this half. Just sitting deep and over hitting Hollywood passes and slowing down the tempo isn't what we did. Reputation over performances is good enough for you though

Not the fact Wilshere has looked to drive from deep and create with 1-2s, quick passing, riskier passes and sped up decision making in possession? None of that then no?
ScouseFox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Barkley has been no better than Gerrard. He's only had about three touches. Hardly a game changing peperformance. debatable but yes, it's different rather than better though. which is why it's not really comparable. barkley for rooney yes, let's argue all day, attacking, running with the ball barkley for deep, sitting midfielder gerrard? no. may as well start comparing sturridge and hart. Brooksy Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Okay, here we go... I Spy, with my little eye, something beginning with C Competence? Referring to glen johnson.
Tielemans63 Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Clothes? Ooh that's a great guess. Clue: It's has hands but no fingers.
ScouseFox Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Ok. Says it all that your a Liverpool fan. yeah love the reds me
