Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 I'd go Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Henderson Wilshere Lallana Rooney Sturridge
Bert Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Wilshere? . Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Henderson Rooney Barkley Lallana Sturridge
David Guiza Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Not sure what to make of Hodgson's thoughts on Barkley. He clearly rates him, but he's either frustrated by some of the things he does and won't start him, or he's merely protecting him due to his age. Personally I'd start him, particularly with the Ox out, another player who will drive at the opposition, which we have lacked for years.
Babylon Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Not sure what to make of Hodgson's thoughts on Barkley. He clearly rates him, but he's either frustrated by some of the things he does and won't start him I think it's a bit odd really, talking about mistakes can be costly. Tell every other player then as we give the ball away all over the pitch every 30 seconds through shit control and poor passing.
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Barkley should be starting on Saturday and against Italy but ultimately he wont.
kingcarr21 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 I wouldnt mind seeing us play on saturday with a 4-4-2 diamond. Give Rooney and Sturridge a game up front together and see if it is a genuine option. Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Sterling Lallana Barkley Rooney Sturridge

Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Sterling Lallana Barkley Rooney Sturridge No chance of that one, way too open I think.
kingcarr21 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 I do prefer the 4-2-3-1 Formation but alot of people want to see Rooney and Sturridge play together. Like i said it would just be to see if it is a genuine option but i agree i think we will be too open
AKCJ Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Trouble is we're missing two of our wingers for this game. I am right in saying that Sterling is banned? Have we not lodged an appeal? Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Milner Gerrard Barkley Lallana Rooney Sturridge Don't really think Rooney is offering much to the side but I can't drop him. He's our best player and he can score against anyone.
Captain... Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 I think it's a bit odd really, talking about mistakes can be costly. Tell every other player then as we give the ball away all over the pitch every 30 seconds through shit control and poor passing. I think he was just trying to deflect the media's obsession and stop them building him up and setting him up for a fall. He is young he does make mistakes, and if he fvcks up the media will jump on him, as they did Beckham and do with Rooney.

I think he's being clever and is putting himself between the lad and the media. If he doesn't go and score 21 goals in the World Cup then the press will want his head. Hodgson knows that and wants to protect the best talent we've had since Gazza.
Fox92 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Nothing wrong with Wilshere. Holds the ball well and actually tries to run at players.
foxfanazer Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Nothing wrong with Wilshere. Holds the ball well and actually tries to run at players. He just seems to get fouled all of the time
FoxyPalace.com Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Watch out for the 2 blue promotion flags, me and they Mrs are at this game.
Unabomber Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 I'd just play Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Henderson Lallana Barkley Rooney Sturridge
Stadt Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Wilshere? . Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Henderson Rooney Barkley Lallana Sturridge I'd go with this maybe Welbeck in for Rooney (Rooney starts against Italy).
LCFC FOX Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Wilshere Rooney Barkley OX Sturridge Is our best team in my opinion but I'd go for Forster Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Lampard Henderson Sterling Lallana Milner Welbeck
Grandad. Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Think the eleven Roy goes for v Honduras will be pretty much the eleven who plays v Italy. Expect it to be.. Hart Johnson -- Cahill -- Jagielka -- Baines Henderson -- Gerrard -- Lallana Sturridge -- Rooney -- Welbeck I'm only saying that because I think that is what we will set up like v Italy a week tomorrow, no chance would that be anything like my starting eleven but remember Roy Hodgson is the England manager. Gutted Sterling won't play now, he would of been in there ahead of Rooney for me as he was going to start this game before Valencia's cuntish actions. I would love Roy to be brave and set up like this.. Hart Johnson -- Cahill -- Jagielka -- Baines Gerrard Henderson ---------- Lallana Barkley Rooney --- Sturridge

Grandad. Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 That second line up would be delightful, I'll get praying to the gods Same haha. I would personally rather Sterling in the Barkley role but again I can't see that happening now he is out of the Honduras game, he was excellent for Liverpool when he played there towards the end of the season. Sad to hear ribery is out of the WC.. Is it? Horrible creature him.
AKCJ Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 I would love Roy to be brave and set up like this.. Hart Johnson -- Cahill -- Jagielka -- Baines Gerrard Henderson ---------- Lallana Barkley Rooney --- Sturridge I wouldn't rule out those players starting together but they'll never play in that formation. More likely; Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Henderson Gerrard Barkley Lallana Sturridge Rooney So a 4-3-3 that can easily switch to a 4-3-1-2 with Lallana dropping behind the two strikers. But Roy will never play that because we'd be missing so much width and that's probably the area that we can hurt teams the most our squad. I don't think anyone realises just how big a blow Oxlade Chamberlain's injury actually is. Is it? Horrible creature him. Wahey, we agree on something
foxes_rule1978 Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 I hope we play our best team, and we should be winning this by 3 or 4... Sturridge hat trick...
