Leicesterpool Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Normally I would happily sign something like this, but sadly I have some bad memories of Hereford United.
Voll Blau Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Cant help feeling that Football fans in general need to be more aware of who is running their club and what they are doing. I feel sorry for the fans, but by and large the horse has already bolted. What can they do though? If the football authorities allow these people to own clubs then the blame must lie with them.
LCFC FOX Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 It wasn't that long ago when Leicester and Hereford was a league game. Now look at both teams. Crazy
dogadug Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Normally I would happily sign something like this, but sadly I have some bad memories of Hereford United. What, they beat Nuneaton
FreddieFox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Signed. There is a time and place for rivalry but equally there is need for football fans to stick together!
TJB-fox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Signed-our away trip in league one was one of my favourite away days, best of luck
cambridgefox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 I thought he resigned today or is that Bullshit( pun intended)
Green-Fox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Signed! Remember going Edgar Street in League 1 great day out!
Mack Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 What can they do though? If the football authorities allow these people to own clubs then the blame must lie with them. Be more aware, question more, probe more, don't take the bullshit dished out by these people at face value. And if there is cause for concern, shout about it then and not when your club is already a smoldering heap of rubble.
blueharmie Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 I remeber Hereford away. They were singing the 10 German bombers song After we beat them. about 6 spotty yoofs. Maybe x factor with this song to raise some moneys
wight88 Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Remember when about 50 of them came here in the FA cup replay 3 days before Xmas in 99 and they ran riot in the double decker proper nutjobs and proper fans.
broughtonblue Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Remember when about 50 of them came here in the FA cup replay 3 days before Xmas in 99 and they ran riot in the double decker proper nutjobs and proper fans.So proper fans are those that go in the opposition stands and run riot?Ffs
Finnaldo Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Be more aware, question more, probe more, don't take the bullshit dished out by these people at face value. And if there is cause for concern, shout about it then and not when your club is already a smoldering heap of rubble. But what about when those questions go unanswered? Even if you are aware of your clubs situation, as a supporter there's very little you can do about it, often you are in the dark about spending and debt. What if one season the owner overspends, or invests in new facilities? It could take a while before the state of the club is revealed and, as you said, 'the horse is bolted'. Unfortunately, as a football supporter in a time when there is very little that the owner can be held responsible for, the best way is for fans to get together and help each other out, and I doubt that will change anytime soon.
ElusiveEd Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Hereford V Leicester, my first ever away game in the early 80's. Football special train broke down for 4+ hours on the way home but still a great and exciting day out. Signed and best of luck with it.
surrifox Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 the"owner" sounds like a scummer - if all that's stated here is true. Towns the size of Hereford need a football club - not have it stolen from them
Nomad Posted 19 June 2014 Author Posted 19 June 2014 I remember as a young boy watching Premier League Leicester come to town in the FA Cup and managing to take you to a replay. My Dad wouldn't take me to the away leg! Also our Conference playoff final was hosted at your ground, more great memories! The owner did resign as a Director; this was only to make sure the club didn't get rejected from a league for failing a FA fit and proper test! He's still got the shareholding and is very much still involved. Thanks for all of your support
Voll Blau Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Be more aware, question more, probe more, don't take the bullshit dished out by these people at face value. And if there is cause for concern, shout about it then and not when your club is already a smoldering heap of rubble. I'll look forward to you leading the charge should (heaven forbid) things go tits up with the Thais then.
leftbackinthechangingroom Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Not nice that this should to happen to any club cant even fathom it happening to us. Wouldn't wish this on florest either so thats why i signed wish you luck with it.
Merging Cultures Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 Good luck with the petition, because lets face it petitions are pointless. #saveourclub
JmorsonLCFC Posted 19 June 2014 Posted 19 June 2014 sad considering all it takes is one top players daily wage
