Luis Suarez Bites Chiellini

Odd.

It's not odd, if and it is a big if, if Suarez comes back from this ban and starts scoring goals again do you not think we are going to support him/love him again? That's what happens in football.

You can't enforce a time ban with a delay. lol

If they wanted to do that they should of just given him six months (which is what I think it should have been anyway)

four months is acceptable to me though I suppose.

I don't see why they can't say he's banned for four months starting from the beginning of his domestic season. There's nothing wrong with doing that IMO, they are double banning him otherwise, which is absolutely pointless. It's like expelling a child from school while they are on summer holiday.

There's no football for him to play for the next month and a half, so why should he be serving his ban now when there is no harm to him?

If Danny Drinkwater bit somebody, I'm sure I'm not alone in the view, that, I would never want him playing for LCFC again, and I'd consider him our best player. Shambles of a club, I'm sure they'll appeal.

Odd.

That's football. Birmingham fans cheered Marlon King after he smashed a womens face in, Lee Hughes was cheered after leaving an old man to die on the road. We're a sick bunch, we haven't really been tested yet but I hope we will rise to the occasion when that day comes and tell them to fcuk off not matter how good or important they are to us.

Some fans like to convince themselves no player is bigger than the dignity of the club, though as you'll probably see again in October, it isn't actually the case.

Just not the way Football bans work....sorry lol. As I say I'm quite sure they knew this when they handed the ban out to him and had they expected him to miss four months of our season he'd of got six months.

Stan Collymore beat a woman up, you didn't cheer his hat-trick at home to Sunderland?

When they play for your club, you support them and you love them, sorry but that is the world we live in.

Man United fans still sing about Cantona who kicked a fan in the head after he was banned from the game for months.

Come on mate, let's be fair, that was Ulrika Johnson.

So... this international ban. I am confused by their wording. I would of thought it's all competitive gamess (meaning he's basically fcked for the World Cup and the Copa America, and if they do badly in both potentially for a fair bit of qualifying for 2018) but some of the wording makes it sound like it's just for World Cup games??

It's just that he keeps on letting you down. I'd have lost patience with him ages ago, surely you'd cash in in Jan?

Are we still allowed to talk about this? How long are we allowed to talk about it for?

Only until the British press have devised another smear campaign against the proud nation of Uruguay. Then we'll have something else to talk about to stop us from reflecting on the fact that we only won the 1966 World Cup because of a goal that never was.

He's banned for all International matches immediately. It's 9 matches worth so if Uruguay continue in the World Cup all the way to the final, that'd take up 4 matches and then 5 other internationals thereafter.

If Uruguay go out after Colombia match, it'll be 8 other inter.national matches.

If Uruguay go out after Quarters, it'll be 7 other international matches.

Semis and it'll be 6.

Final and it'll be 5.

That's what I make of it anyway.

Yeah I get that part :rolleyes:lol

What happens after that that's what I am saying i.e Does the Copa America (the only competitive football they'll play before kicking off their next Quali campaign deep into 2015.

Uruguay should play a shit load of friendlies and put in the kids 8 days straight.

After the second incident I thought he was simply a complete knob but after this I'm starting to agree with the commentators who are saying that there's something not quite right about him.

It's not like he didn't know what the consequences would be - presumably like before and then some, and he goes and does it again infront of a global audience. If he'd kicked someone in the head or punched them that would be a lot less bizarre, but to go for the bite again....just plain strange.

Was he raised by mice or something?

Journo on Twitter just pointed out that he's missed 35 matches over the last four years purely due to bans for biting incidents. Add in his bans for racism and it's pretty much a full domestic season he's missed just because of his own cuntery.

I despise Collymore.

4 months is harsh. He's a red so it wasn't his fault

Minute silence and a vigil first game of the season.

Cotton T-shirts, Kenny Dalglish and a 'justice for Suarez' campaign already in action.

To play devil advocate on the Collymore thing. He did that a few yeas before coming to Leicester. And bar a fire extinguisher incident in La Manga had no other serious indiscretions between then or whilst at Leicester.

Suarez had the biting incident in Holland. Fair enough. Then Liverpool sign him and I wouldn't expect you to be unhappy, you'd be in a similar position we were in with Collymore. Then he gets done for racial abuse. The fans and the club stood by him. Then he bit Ivanovic, and the club and the fans still stood by him. Now just over a year later he's bitten another player, and yet the fans are still going to stand by him.

Totally incomparable to Collymore. What he did was inexcusable, but you could argue it was an isolated incident, or he'd changed. Suarez's clearly isn't an isolated incident, you can't argue he's changed, so you have no excuse for standing by him.
