StanSP Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Am I the only one who thinks Nigeria might pull of an upset here?
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Am I the only one who thinks Nigeria might pull of an upset here? Depends, if the French team that turned Honduras and the Swiss over turns up tonight it'll be comfortable I think.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Got four out of four so far in the last 16. Although there have been close calls! Nigeria will either be fast, dangerous and a threat OR it will be a comfortable France win. Nowt in between IMO. But I'm going for France (and Germany) to qualify. The problem is the odds, on both are VERY short.
MC Prussian Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Depends, if the French team that turned Honduras and the Swiss over turns up tonight it'll be comfortable I think. I'll second that. France has both a truly gifted and harmonious group at this World Cup. If Nigeria manage to stifle their attacking threats, they've got a chance. Yet France employ Giroud, Benzema/Rémy, Valbuena, Griezmann, Pogba, Debuchy, Evra, Cabaye, Matuidi going forward in open play - so, in essence, you're to stop all but two field players. Tough job, if you ask me.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 I think it will be a comfortable 2 nil win for France
ScouseFox Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 comfortable france win. they were in second gear vs ecuador and bar a superb goalkeeping display could still have won by 3 or 4. looked nice in their other two games, too. nigeria have surprised me a bit but can't see them getting at france.
StanSP Posted 30 June 2014 Author Posted 30 June 2014 SkyBet offering money back on some bets if France fail to win in 90minutes.
Haydos Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 SkyBet offering money back on some bets if France fail to win in 90minutes. FGS and whatnot?
kingfox Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 France hopefully should win this, god knows how Nigeria have got this far.
StanSP Posted 30 June 2014 Author Posted 30 June 2014 FGS and whatnot? Yeah I presume the usual (scorecast, FGS, LGS, anytime goalscorer etc.) Only saw the link in the email and skimread it on my phone.
MC Prussian Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 France hopefully should win this, god knows how Nigeria have got this far. By being better than two other teams in their group? What's with all this sudden anti-African, pro-European bum-licking on your behalf? #Justtryingtobedifferent
Haydos Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Why are there always world class saves against the team I bet on?
Finnegan Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Why are there always world class saves against the team I bet on? Because you underestimate the goalkeepers of the teams you bet against.

Out of the teams who advanced to the R16, they were the probably the team that least impressed me. I thought both Iran & Bosnia were unlucky against them.
Gary Eatfood Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Why are there always world class saves against the team I bet on? Always?
Haydos Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Ahaaaaaaa, France you late, late beauties! The -1 bet is in! Because you underestimate the goalkeepers of the teams you bet against. Not that much *flappy flap*
LeicesterBran Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Good perfomance from the Les Bleus, they deserved to win today. After Nigeria conceded Pogba's goal, they went downhill from there.
Guest MattP Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 France hopefully should win this, god knows how Nigeria have got this far. Because they ran into the worst official in the world cup against Bosnia.
