halferowley2 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Really feeling excited now about todays game. Back to match day routines. Great to be back in the Premier. I'm 72 but still feel like a teenager when a new season starts espeically this season. Win, lose or draw I'm just going to enjoy this season. Had a shave, put me teeth in and season ticket at the ready bring it on.
Fox92 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Just trying to enjoy today as well. When I'm there and it's nearing 3, I'll be nervous like everyone but it's been ten years and it's a nice welcome back to the top flight today - playing a traditional big, English football club - I just hope we can win.
foxoffderby Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Whatever the age from 7 to 70 I'm sure everybody is buzzing this morning.
TrentFox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Is there anything that feels better than the morning of the first game of the season ? Love it. All things are possible for a few more hours. Love it.
Buzzell Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Finally the season starts. Looking forward to the game as well as watching us on MOTD later on tonight.
Robin JD Popley Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Win, lose or draw throughout this season we need to carry on cheering, as no one else will fight our corner. We've had some tricky times these last ten years but it makes today even more meaningful. Good luck to Nigel and the lads and let's hope today is the beginning of something very special indeed.
Vlad the Fox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Is there anything that feels better than the morning of the first game of the season ? Love it. All things are possible for a few more hours. Love it. That wild belief and optimism that I had as a kid always resurfaces on opening day. Brings back memories of league ladders and chewing gum football cards. Ah I can even taste that brand of chewy now thinking about it.
harpendenfox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Would love a bit of ' Burnley away' style non stop standing and singing this afternoon. Proud to be a Leicester fan. Proud and excited
Weller in Tights Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Very excited, 53 yrs of age, but I feel like I did when I went my first game back in 1968. I had a knee operation on Wednesday, but I can't miss it today, so my Mrs is dropping me down at the ground and I'm using crutches to get in and I've switched my seat from the back row to the front row. Come on City fans, give a great atmosphere today. As some have already said in other threads, we also must be sure to back the team through this tough opening run of games no matter what the results. Tom's Pasta Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Packed house, premier league football, first game of the season. Priceless really.
ScouseFox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Bit of a weird one, don't often go to games that I assume we'll lose full of excitement. But I'm massively looking forward to today yet predicting a loss. Anything else would be dreams.
lgfualol Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Gonna be sat on my arse watching on my laptop woohoo
