Robin JD Popley Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Not sure if this has any legs, but, Gonzalez is a very good defender. Can see more in that over the other link.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I'd take Geoff Cameron, haven't seen enough of Gonzalez apart from a couple of good World Cup showings.
dmayne7 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Gonzalez is meant to be very good. That article has got the wage structure wrong though because they haven't converted from GBP to Dollars so that wouldn't be an issue. Cameron is a good player as well but I can't see him leaving Stoke to come hear at the moment.
CosbehFox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Gonzalez was one of the US players who was superb versus Belgium. Had a decent rep for while. As for Cameron, decent enough player but you'd expect him to elsewhere in the Prem judging from the articles presented to him in that article.
Callabinho Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Geoff Cameron is quality, very much doubt it to be true though!
Jordan Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Cameron is decent at CB but he may even be better as a ball-winning CDM. I like Gonzalez, he's really tall and beast in the air, but he'd play behind Morgan and Moore. Both or either signings would do well to patch up positions where we aren't so deep (especially if Wasyl goes), although they wouldn't make us world beaters. These are big ifs, though--I hadn't heard anything about these possible moves until now.
RedSoxUK Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I'd take Geoff Cameron, true Red Sox fan - saw him at a recent game throwing the 1st pitch!
Master Fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Wasn't Cameron the guy who spunked that open goal chance over the bar in the final few seconds of the Belgium game? Played well though throughout the World Cup.
65RosesFox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I'd take Geoff Cameron, true Red Sox fan - saw him at a recent game throwing the 1st pitch! He will love our "limited edition" kit then
RedSoxUK Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Wasn't Cameron the guy who spunked that open goal chance over the bar in the final few seconds of the Belgium game? Played well though throughout the World Cup. Think that was the sub striker And the press didn't get on his back either
Danizen Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Wasn't Cameron the guy who spunked that open goal chance over the bar in the final few seconds of the Belgium game? Played well though throughout the World Cup.He'd fit in well with Schlupp and Nuge, then.
Stadt Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Whitbread will put in some good wordsI forgot he was 'American'

Played well though throughout the World Cup. No, that was Wondolowski, a striker off the bench. Cameron did screw up on several plays that led to goals in the WC; however, he's a big dude and does play well in the air. I think that Gonzalez is a very solid player in the back who would make a great addition to the squad. He's 6'5" and, at 25-years old, he's only going to get better. The_77 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 And, like Jordan, this is also the first time I'm reading about this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
