davieG Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Leicester City are tracking Cardiff City right-back Declan John and saw the teenager impress against Port Vale last night. John created Cardiff's second goal against the League One club with a surging run and cross for Federico Macheda and was generally impressive - as he was on his only other start of the season for the Bluebirds against Coventry in the previous round of the Capital One Cup.The 19-year-old broke into the Cardiff City team last season and earned two caps for Wales, but has been left out of Chris Coleman's latest squad for the clash with Andorra.Manchester United have also been keeping an eye on John, who is under contract until 2018, and saw his impressive display against Coventry earlier in August. - See more at: http://www.sportinastorm.com/Premier-League/Leicester-City/Foxes-check-out-Cardiff-defender/X1Y41Z1796729?#sthash.54QiCsCe.dpuf
Danno Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Wasn't he supposed to be absolute wank for Cardiff at left back last year?
AKCJ Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Speaking of Cardiff right backs. I wouldn't mind if we went for that Theophile-Catherine.
ATLFox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Speaking of Cardiff right backs. I wouldn't mind if we went for that Theophile-Catherine. He's gone to Saint-Etienne on loan
Guest Mee-9 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Declan John becomes a legend on.......... Runescape?
sdb Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 We need someone for now, not the future. We have a RB that can attack, we need one that can defend too!
Finnegan Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Declan John should have a good future, I'd be thrilled if Pearson and the team thought he was good enough for us. I saw him make his Wales debut and he was solid, one of several promising, attacking full backs we have presently.
mozartfox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Does he play on the same side as Knocky? Ant and Dec would be magic.
Narborough_fox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Thought he was a left back? Wouldn't mine this though, especially with him only being 19.
Lestoh Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Does he play on the same side as Knocky? Ant and Dec would be magic. YES. THIS.

Finnegan Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Yeah but he's not Scottish or Irish. Welsh < Scottish < Irish. Bale was an anomaly. We've been producing better players than Scotland and Ireland for basically my entire lifetime. The fact they never turn up to play for Wales is another matter.

I certainly think you've got some young lads coming through who are decent, much more proportionally than Ireland for sure at the minute. I guess we'll have to disagree about better players overall internationally over the last 20 odd years, but if you say this fella particularly is a good'un, I'll take your word for it.
Nalis Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 He's got a first name for a surname, sorry not for me thanks.
Finnaldo Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I swear he had a player second name John from Fulham a few years back? Or was it Bolton maybe?
Soar Fox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I swear he had a player second name John from Fulham a few years back? Or was it Bolton maybe? Collins John. Absolutely gash for us.
Finnaldo Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Collins John. Absolutely gash for us. That's the fvcker all I can remember of him was that it sounded like they got his first and second name muddled up.
orangecity23 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 IIRC, wasn't Collins John at Fulham at the same time as John Collins as well?
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 If we want a young right, look at Christie at Derby. Looks a real prospect.
NewburyFox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 If we want a young right, look at Christie at Derby. Looks a real prospect. He only joined them in July!
