promised land Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 http://www.worldfootball.net/attendance/eng-premier-league-2014-2015/1/ ha ha.. I think you'd have to view that after 38 games, some teams have only had 1 game so far at home.
bluesbrothers Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Averaging 4k more than Baaaaby and 6k more than N*bhead-cum F**kfest. Without a doubt, we're massive.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 We've been the biggest club in the East Midlands for a long time. Last East Midlands club to win a trophy, last East Midlands club to play in Europe, highest attendances and the only current East Midlands club in the Premier League. The sepia tinted successes of Derby and Forest are long forgotten by all neutrals now.
Finnegan Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Yeah, because Newcastle are bigger than Liverpool Liverpool is in the North East?
Bourne Blue& White Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 We hate Forest We hate Derby And who the fcuk are Coventry. That got a good airing today. : )
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Considering the size of Birmingham and the fact that Birmingham City hardly average huge gates, the attendances Villa get are sloppy at best.
Ian W LCFC Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 We hate Forest We hate Derby And who the fcuk are Coventry. That got a good airing today. : ) Where abouts?
Fox92 Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Liverpool is in the North East? Apologies. I had a mare. Thought it was another "my club is bigger than yours" thread so I jumped to a conclusion.
CosbehFox Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Considering the size of Birmingham and the fact that Birmingham City hardly average huge gates, the attendances Villa get are sloppy at best.Having lived here for 9 months, I find it plain odd that one of the teams isn't at least competing in the top 8 of the PL. The only explanation I can come to is that Brum is slowly going through a change from a working class city to a city of the underclass/middle class. The working class took a massive hit when the industries closed down including the likes of Rover/MG. Increasingly if you are the average person on the average wage you will have probably been pushed out into the outskirts of Brum as the desire able areas are so expensive (and contain virtually no Brummies) and the non so nice areas you wouldn't want your worst enemy living in. Villa fans come from towns such as Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield etc etc If Moseley Rugby Club got major backing, they would be a huge success.
Weller in Tights Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Villa. Villa have often been regarded by many as the biggest Midlands club, both from the point of view of crowds and honours. However, they have had a lean few years and I can see us pushing them for who gets the biggest crowds this season. They should end up higher as they have a bigger capacity, but this could be the start of a new era for us. Let's dream. Premier survival this year. Further advances with the team next year. Ground expansion in 3 yrs to 42,000. Established in top 8 in 5 years. Ground expanded to 50,000 in 7 yrs . 10yrs time Champions of Europe. Ok, I got a bit carried away there, sitting in the doctors waiting room waiting for him to look at my knee, I'm bored.
Cat Burger Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Villa are an absolute sleeping giant, they've started the season well and it's clear that their attendances will pick up. We ARE the SECOND biggest club in the midlands though
coolhandfox Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 2 draw's and a couple of gates above 30,000+ and now we are the big club in the Midlands.................... Some people get carry away after a decent result!
David Lowe Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Villa are the biggest club in the Midlands. Stoke and West Brom are ahead of us at the moment as both have had a decent run in the Premier.
johnny the fox Posted 25 November 2014 Author Posted 25 November 2014 http://www.worldfootball.net/attendance/eng-premier-league-2014-2015/1/ its now official..

johnny the fox Posted 25 November 2014 Author Posted 25 November 2014 Villa by far, you could argue east midlands. As it stands, the numbers say different mate.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 November 2014 Posted 25 November 2014 Biggest club in the Midlands? Gotta be Coventry...
