"A Home Grown player will be defined as one who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21)."

In that case, surely Schlupp (who's been with us for ages) should be classed as home grown? Especially seeing as other non-UK nationals like Kaspar are classed as HG.

I came to the same conclusion about Schlupp.  Surely he has been in our academy for at least 3 years and therefore should also be a Home Grown player?

Nobody knows where he is from...He just won a competition that he saw on the back of his double whopper which entitled him to a two year contract at Leicester City.  It was Terry Robinsons idea to raise the profile of the club.  :trumpet:

I thought it was in a multi pack of walkers

Interesting that the team most likely to win the title is the team that has the least home grown players.

And the 3 promoted teams have the most.

And as a result of that will have to do it with the smallest squad as well

What would happen with a player like Howard? Wasn't he working as a roofer until he was 20?!

Same as GTF, non home-grown as he'd have only been registered a couple of years (unless he was in non-league for longer than wikipedia claims).

Of which two were bred by us.

Chelsea are a disgrace to British football.

Might be missing someone obvious, but who are the 2? Cisak and?

It's ok, I can see now. Luke O'Neill.

He's supposed to be the next big thing, from what I've heard. If he's ever to make it in our first team though, he'll have to be prepared to face an inquisition from our fans whenever his form slips. Otherwise, they'll be calling for him to walk the plank.

We're in the PL now - so it's going to be a case of chucking them in the deep end and seeing if they 'sink or swim' for a lot of our youngsters.

Layton Ndukwu is THE one who will make it one day..... apparently

So it should be Jose Ulloa-Fernandez?

Standard Spanish naming convention is that they have two surnames, one from the father and one from the mother. However they only call themselves by one, usually the father's, and this is the one that is passed to their children. Hence Mikel Arteta Amatriain, Francesc Fabregas Soler and Ander Herrera Aguera for example. I'm presuming it's a similar thing in Argentina to some extent - Sergio Aguero Del Castillo is similar, but Collocini and Demichelis don't, nor does my Argentinian friend, so I don't know for sure. I can't answer why he goes by Leonardo rather than José though lol
