Bettsj2 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Always the way, the sky lot don't give a shit or know anything about anything outside the top 4-6 teams, fvck 'em. At least the BBC lot are a bit more balanced. JFH looked like he had a semi on when waxing lyrical about how brilliant we are. JFH. 'Fat Eddie Murphy, you're just a fat Eddie Murphy!!' Him and Danny Murphy love us.
Gary Eatfood Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Not TV I know, but on my way to the match yesterday, listening to 5live, they gave the Leicester changes in the team line up. Schmeichel, Drinkwater, Cambiasso, and someone called Luke Vardy. ( Says it all ). Bet they don't get his name wrong again. That was Chappers, called him Luke Varney, I'm so glad he isn't.
Kitchandro Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I don't get this 'I prefer to go under the radar' and 'let everyone undrestimate us' stuff. Fvck that, I want us to get some credit. There are quite a few people giving us the praise we deserve and I'm loving it. It's way better than people saying we're like Stoke or something - a wank, boring team who just lump it. I want people to acknowledge the performance and atmosphere from yesterday. It's great to be praised.
Fox92 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 No chance of talking about little Leicester City when Manchester City v Chelsea is occurring on the same day.
Rincewind Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I think they said on MOTD 2 that Lineker had suggested that the City game should be on first. He has a little influence now. The other teams have dominated the PL for so long now it is hard for the media to focus on any other team. They give out what they think the public want to hear. City will have to be top four for a few years to start drawing attention.
Carl the Llama Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I think they said on MOTD 2 that Lineker had suggested that the City game should be on first. He has a little influence now. Maybe I read too much into it, but I understood it as Chapman having trying to get it bumped down the order and Gary saying "fvck off you Manc nonce".
josh_baskin Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 If Vardys first penalty had been a united player it would have instantly been swept under the carpet. Even today on talk sport Darren Gough mentioned how Jamie Vardy had a phenomenal game only for Adrian Durham to reply 'work rate wise'!! Also if you didn't know if was United's poor defence that beat Manchester United not Leicester City according to the media and all those mindless plastic Man U fans.
Jacnah Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Sky pay millions every year to put the big teams on TV as they are world news. Leicester winning isn't world news, but Manchester utd losing is unfortunately and we won't change that. Just enjoy the ride. very true...simple fact of customer demand in respect of a global brand. Honestly though, its a little annoying but other than that do we really give a shit
HighPeakFox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 It's corrupt and unequal, but we cannot change it. Let's just back our team to keep beating everyone.
Mark_w Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 If Vardys first penalty had been a united player it would have instantly been swept under the carpet. I imagine it would have had even more ridiculous coverage if it had been a United player.
Rincewind Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 but Man Utd defense was poor. That is what City exploited and why Peason had Vardy Ullua and Nugent up front. So it was good tactics that beat Untd as well as a good performance by City as a team and poor defending by Manure. It depends on which side of the fence you sit as to which had the most effect.
stripeyfox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I couldn't give two shits what Sky pundits think.
Jace Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 LVG didn't even know Vardy's name in his post-match press conference! He said "The other team's striker" a couple of times when referring to Vardy in the Rafael and Blackett challenges! Its like Svens back but managing the opposition
