Jakemoore Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I waited until after the Chelsea v Man City match to get some quality analysis from the sky pundits, but this never came. I have since watched 3 more reports by Sky Sports on yesterday's game. All they want to do is talk about how bad Man U were. No one seems to be interested in discussing how amazing we were as a team, or how incredible some of our individual players were. This is a huge shame in my mind. It has put a downer on what was a special day for us leicester fans. Sky should sort this out and stop focusing so heavily on the so called 'top 4'. Other premier league teams are available. Aside from this, BBC gave us a lot of credit on MOTD2.
DB11 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 That's no problem - let teams underestimate us and not do their homework
Tommy G Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 According to LVG we came back from Stoke last week. Maybe his research is smiliar to Sky? Alan Smith gave us a bit tbf
EGBFitness Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Although Utd were not great, they were by no means poor, this is a team that was winning 3-1 and won following week 4-0... They crumbled from our attacking and we dominated. Shame sky are so biased towards the 'top teams'
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Always the way, the sky lot don't give a shit or know anything about anything outside the top 4-6 teams, fvck 'em. At least the BBC lot are a bit more balanced. JFH looked like he had a semi on when waxing lyrical about how brilliant we are.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Sky pay millions every year to put the big teams on TV as they are world news. Leicester winning isn't world news, but Manchester utd losing is unfortunately and we won't change that. Just enjoy the ride.
Asha Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I've never understood this, why is it so important to some of you that we get sucked off by 'expert analysts'? It's much better to just be proud as a club in what we achieved yesterday, and since the start of our season, then to feel the need for everyone to praise us. What the boys did yesterday was amazing, it was so amazing that it didn't even need to be said. Nobody is questioning the fact that we outplayed United. People like Jamie Carragher not spaffing himself over our comeback doesn't take anything away from it. It's all a little bit insecure and there's a bit of that floating around here since the game - WAAAAAAAHHH Van Gaal didn't say 2365732 nice things about us waaaaaah. You just know if everyone starts getting completely carried away with how great we are, we'll go on a horror run and finish bottom or something. Let's keep being underdogs. If the football world wants to concentrate on United then that's great, and the more coverage people like Drinkwater and Vardy get for good performances the more you can see a bigger club coming in and we'll lose them. We know how good we are. That's the main thing.
yorkie1999 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Its because the premiership is driven by money. Sky supply the money that enables teams to buy the most expensive players, whether they're any good or not is irrelevant, which drives the machine called the premiership. This gives them ownership. Our football club doesn't spend money in the same way as the top teams, who are only the top teams because they have the most money, so we become irrelevant. That's why it was Man U who played crap and are going through a transition period, and not us simply out playing them over the 90 mins. None of the pundits can accept this because its not in their interest to do so, apart from pundits such as Gary Lineker because he works for the BBC and can say what he likes
docho66 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 According to LVG we came back from Stoke last week. Maybe his research is smiliar to Sky? Alan Smith gave us a bit tbf LVG didn't even know Vardy's name in his post-match press conference! He said "The other team's striker" a couple of times when referring to Vardy in the Rafael and Blackett challenges!
5waller5 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 The bit that annoys me more is that the preview to the game it's always going to be really close with Leicester "the surprise package" .... but then after it's Manure being rubbish not the surprise package being more of a surprise!!!
Captain... Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Agree with Asha here, let them put pressure on Man Utd by analysing how poor they were, let other clubs think we were lucky and the ref helped us out and that it was all because United played shit. We know how good we are, let them find out on the pitch when it is too late to do anything about it!
SystonFox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 LVG didn't even know Vardy's name in his post-match press conference! He said "The other team's striker" a couple of times when referring to Vardy in the Rafael and Blackett challenges! He must know it by now

We know how good we are. That's the main thing. Absolutely. This is where Pearson's media persona will help greatly, he won't go shouting from the rooftops or start making quips to get attention, he'll just carry on as normal and I think we'll just continue quite serenely.
Carl the Llama Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 It's hardly just sky. I even had a fvcking Liverpool fan telling me how that one single penalty changed everything and how lucky we are. In fact the ****'s only words of praise were for the Di Maria goal and not our 2nd half dominance. "Cheeky fvcking bastard" I told him "as if you have any right to imply we're actually shit in reality after your week of shit performances". I took out my frustration by leaving pictures of the match anywhere our resident ManU fan is likely to tread. I'll see if he found them all tomorrow.

Daz93 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 According to LVG we came back from Stoke last week. Maybe his research is smiliar to Sky? Alan Smith gave us a bit tbf Even Alan Smith was saying Wes Brown instead of Wes Morgan. The longer pundits gloss over how good we perform, the better it is for us.
artursteppe Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Not TV I know, but on my way to the match yesterday, listening to 5live, they gave the Leicester changes in the team line up. Schmeichel, Drinkwater, Cambiasso, and someone called Luke Vardy. ( Says it all ). Bet they don't get his name wrong again.
sylofox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Who really cares what they say we know the truth. Had texts from other fans today they are taking notice.
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 He must know it by now But he claimed to know everything about us . Pity he didn't he didn't know how sh*t his own deffence was .

They crumbled from our attacking and we dominated. Shame sky are so biased towards the 'top teams' Come on their defence was woeful and shocking. Do wished we had run at them all game it could have been 10 3. It's ok to have world class players in attack and midfield but if you have Sunday league over 30's pub team players in defence you will get battered. We were good and it was a brilliant day all round but the media and sky built them up to be something they are not after they had put four past a very poor QPR at Old Trafford.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I disagree with this thread Sky have been talking about us a lot and have given us credit
Matt Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 So? Let us go quietly about our business, WE know how good we've been and how well we've done, I don't need to be told by some pundit or have our ego stroked thank-you very much.
Bramhall Fox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Disagree massively with this thread. They've been great to us all season. Yes, yesterday they focussed more on United's troubles - which are pretty significant - but, on the whole, they've only said good things after every game.
mozartfox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Because of the massive Man U fans base in Asia, our Owners will have springs in steps for next few weeks. They must be absolutely delighted at the moment at the kudos this result brings. They certainly deserve all this pay back!
