Guest Bilo Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 When was the last time Leicester played a non league club in the fa cup? Stevenage in the League One season, first round. The last time we played a non-league side in the third round was Hereford away in O'Neill's time. Fair to say it's been a while.
bovril Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 stevenage 2008 weren't it in our first ever first round game? Ah yeah. I've kind of expunged that season from my memory.
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 getting a non league team at home Would just remind me of swindon in 2011 away fans giving it large, wouldn't mind anyone away
Leicesterpool Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Weren't Dagenham or Stevenage non league when we played them in 2009? Ah yeah of course I went to them both.
StanSP Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 We're gonna get Man Utd at home. Everyone will expect the 5-3 repeat but we'll probably lose. The amount of goals Utd will score will exceed the amount of central midfielders we start with and that's saying something.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 10 November 2014 Posted 10 November 2014 Quality draw for Basingstoke! Potential for Bristol City away if they can beat Telford away a week tomorrow. The away end there is quality and I'd imagine they should get the whole end behind the goal. Same weekend as Villa away where it's £41 too. I know where I'd rather go! Hartlepool vs Blyth Spartans is a big one too.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 10 November 2014 Posted 10 November 2014 Rubbish, that's disappointing! Still a good draw though I guess. Anyone else got a local smaller club with a decent draw?
filbertway Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Shame all the smaller clubs have been drawn away. Warrington must be gutted with Gateshead away, probably going to lose and not exactly a money spinner. Hartlepool v Blyth is a tastey one, again, shame Blyth are away but at least there should be a good 8-10,000 there for that one.

They get the potential for higher gate receipts in a bigger venue, though, don't they? Not to suggest Gateshead v Warrington will be a sell out, but still. City are ball 22 in the Third Round draw. The football Christmas is almost here!

Really looking forward to Hartlepool v Blyth tonight then Gateshead v Warrington on Sunday.
