dannythefox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I said we should of offered him longer, dyers not finished he's playing for a top championship team who are looking very good this season, Nugent is a championship player but for me dyer would make more of an impact in the prem he's what we've missed coming off the bench.
sylofox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Bert you may know more but I only remember Dyer being linked with Watford. Do you know if he had other offers no need to mention clubs just how many and division they are in if you know please.

Fox92 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Giving Dyer a 3 year deal or whatever he wanted was the right thing to do, the issue is that we didn't sign a direct replacement. Albrighton? On top of already having Mahrez and Schlupp (and Knockaert to an extent) ?

I can agree with that we may have. Now my point. You want to give a player 2 or 3 yrs prem wage to come off the bench. Thats why he was offered 1yr that he refused and wanted 2 or 3. FFS we have all been moaning about Galy and his contract and the contracts Sven gave out. NP has been praised for sorting that shite out that could have ruined us. But now the club is wrong for not paying a 3yr prem wage for a bench player. WTF do you lot want and do you even think about what you are saying are all of you here just to WUM.
sylofox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I honestly couldn't tell you. Was he linked or did you see he was with any other club. I only remember Watford.

I said two year deal not three would of an xtra year really have broke the bank he wouldn't of been on a lot anyway in the last year loan him out if needs be and get half his wages paid you plumb!
Webbo Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 This thread is pathetic. He's left and he was never that great, get over it.
Corky Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 We didn't miss him when we were smacking five past Man United, or winning at Stoke, or playing Arsenal and nearly beating them. Always happens when we lose a couple, the players we let go/ leave out would've been so much better etc. Lloyd was a cult hero but wasn't without faults and the crowd regularly got frustrated with him, he had the chance to stay but chose to take up another offer, he wasn't forced out.
Stadt Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 No it was not his game was pure pace and at his age he could lose it very easy or one hamstring and he was finished. Had his pace gone this year that extr yard or 2 everyone would have been why waste 3 years money on him when he is finished. Nige and the DOF have had to sort out numerous stupid contracts and done a great job. Then you want them to give 3yrs to Dyer who can't play week in week out for Watford (No disrespect) in the championship. I meant to put it was right not to give him a 3 year deal
Stadt Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Albrighton? On top of already having Mahrez and Schlupp (and Knockaert to an extent) ?Albrighton is a right winger and I meant more in terms of his pace, maybe Pearson thought Schlupp would be good enough
ScouseFox Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 This thread is pathetic. He's left and he was never that great, get over it. but he really was great
Thracian Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 We were desperate for Dyer or his like yesterday. How people can fail to see what he gave us just baffles me. Yes, he's gone but even with a comparably fast replacement in Schlupp why is it we fail so badly to get the best from him and why are there no other options? Fast, direct and skillful wingers are a must for any club. And if you haven't got em, make em.
MattGamble92 Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 We need the ****er. And I love him. End of

We got frustrated because he got in such good positions and didn't make the most of them enough. The reason people are saying we miss him is out replacement in albrighton couldn't beat an egg!
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 Don't see how people can be moaning about a player not playing for us who's warming the bench at a Championship team when we have a winger better in practically every aspect of his game warming the bench for us in the very game people are clamoring for Lloyd to be around for.
