Babylon Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 I don't need to do the reading but you might benefit. In doing so you might note how many people pick teams to negate our poor passing, lack of movement, support, width, attacking intent and so on. Many have much the same personnel and even the variety of systems can be fluid. What so many scream out for is to show some intent and not just sit back until the opposition scores and makes us play...like we did again on Saturday even in a home game. Scoring zero won't keep us up. Zzzzzzz

foxinsocks Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Within the 30,000 fans attending there are likely to be all kinds of views (good, bad and mad...). So why do any bother to ask questions or call for solutions - especially when there are too many different views and Nigel is a tadge suborn anyway? I suppose it would be best to focus on the bigger topics - "should Ulloa and Vardy be allowed to start a run of matches together? if so why isn't this happening?"; "why didn't we play marhrez on Saturday - was he on the naughty step (in which case surely there should be some other way of communicating with him)? - can we win at home without such creativity?"; DO we have the right tactical approach to our home and to our away games? I believe Nigel will sort these things out - it's just such a painful process when we see teams like WBA nicking our points.
Dickov22 Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 For what it's worth I didn't particularly like Pearson's comments. Fair enough he's not going to listen to our opinions, but to dismiss them like that like none of us matter is a bit annoying.
foxinsocks Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Nigel always used to be rude to stringer for asking him awkward questions - yet all stringer was doing was asking the questions that those of us paying to watch would like asked...
Harry - LCFC Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Where's this "arrogance" people have spoken about? He humbly accepted that we were in a bad run and that we'd struggled to score. He gave what I thought was a fair assessment of the game - defensively solid but not creative enough, unlucky to concede and lose the game. The only comment that approached any sort of arrogance was him saying he doesn't care what other people say and with good reason - people talk shit - commentators will heap criticism on you when it's not going well and make it seem worse than it really is.

It's because he didn't say the fans were wonderful and fully deserving of his attention, taking on board what everyone says and adapting to suit our individual needs. I thought, like you, he gave a fair assessment of the match and our struggles.

Hard honesty seems to give some people indigestion, this is another thread, that should be binned, like when idiotic journalist, wants to jump on every single word or phrase, to make their story. Sorry there is just no story, there was nothing controversally thrown into the public domain, that warrant the trashy criticism. I dont care what people think.....

Indeed they do. Certainly a criticism I'd level at any who seemed to think starting four midfielders in a Premier League game was a good idea that's for certain. He is worrying me at the minute, he's chopping and changing left right and center, he needs to work out his best side, play it, and if they lose one game not go straight back to the drawing board.
Leicesterpool Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Pearson is very defensive, if anybody questions his judgement he's off on one. Pearson just doesn't respect people's opinion, I haven't forgot when during our bad patch in the 2012-13 season a fan complained to him and Pearson's reply was something along the lines of "If you don't like, don't come" which is not really comments should come from your manager. Professionally Pearson should have ignored him.
ImBlue Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Narrow minded and arrogant. Not such a bad trait when you're winning..
Harry - LCFC Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Narrow minded and arrogant. Not such a bad trait when you're winning.. Again, where is this arrogance? There's one self-confident remark amongst three humble ones. You've simply focused on the one that suits your prejudice.
