Tincy Posted 5 November 2014 Posted 5 November 2014 Anyone doing anything tonight for bonfire night? Me and the Mrs went to Abbey Park display Saturday night, but I'm thinking of nipping to asda on my lunch break to buy some fireworks for tonight...
kingcarr21 Posted 5 November 2014 Posted 5 November 2014 Taking the kids to bonfire night at Quorn Train Station on the Great Central Railway line. Catch the train from Leicester North to Quorn, Bonfire, firework display, Kids rides and entertainment. £10 for adult which included the return train journey. Never been to it so hope it will be good. Thought a tenner for the event and return train journey wasnt too bad

Given the small size of my child I've done something I said I'd never do and bought some fireworks to let off in the garden. My cat is going to be beside herself. I might just put her in a shoe box under the bed, it's probably for the best
Sir Fynwy Posted 5 November 2014 Posted 5 November 2014 Damn i soo miss bonfire night You mean bonfire fecking week!

It absolutely hammered it down from start to finish and the kids were moaning that they were cold and wet in the end. Otherwise it was really good.

fuchsntf Posted 5 November 2014 Posted 5 November 2014 How did it go...Rain, or a goodnights weather..??
Buzzell Posted 5 November 2014 Posted 5 November 2014 Won't bother with any fireworks next year if the neighbours continue to put on a show like they did tonight. Funny as **** watching my two year old Pug running around the garden whilst there going off.

Tincy Posted 6 November 2014 Author Posted 6 November 2014 First time Ive done fireworks in the garden and must say it was a success!
kingcarr21 Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Went to the Quorn Train Station display. The display was really good but quite simply there were too many people for the space provided to really enjoy it. It was no different to the Leicester Racecourse display but there you have much more space to move. Would defo recommend the racecourse over the train station for next year.
J.Lisemore Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Actually surprised they haven't banned them from gardens yet... health + safety gone mad an all that.
Mark_w Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 My dog hates you all. So do my cats. --- I got hit just under the eye at a garden fireworks display as a kid, not really been that fond of bonfire night since then.
Buzzell Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 never haerd anyone refer to their child as a Pug before. Don't get confused chap, clearly talking about my dog. Ohh and thanks for calling my 5 month old daughter a dog.
