Fine Margins

Barring James' kamikaze stoppage time tackle Vs Burnley we'd be 15th

Sure, things should be going better than this run, and they sure need to against Sunderland, QPR & Villa (3 out of our next 4 games)

But some perspective is needed and the 6 teams around us are much of a muchness & this dividing line between success & failure between them is infinitely small.

Woeful, not good enough runs like this happen to many teams outside the top 8 each & every season... What if us fans could be the difference in helping the players bring home the bacon during this critical next few games against direct rivals around us in the table?

Didn't say it was, but it was kamikaze

Yeah, true. Fair play. Bit of frustration coming out there after today's result.

Its hard to defend a terrible losing run unfortunately.

I'm not, just highlighting how small a margin it is between failure & comparative success

But the bottom line is we're not and we've not been good enough, it really is as simple as that, I don't want if's, but's and maybe's, I want reality, no good talking about what could have been.

**** off with this perspective bullshit, "don't worry lads, we drew against Arsenal, and beat United, so no win in five and four loses on the bounce isn't bad, we've had a good start". It's a bloody good thing we didn't start poorly.

I honestly can't understand people justifying it, I really can't.

Next four games are against Sunderland, QPR, Liverpool and Aston Villa. It is incontrovertible that we MUST get between 7 and 10 points out of them and to do that tactics have got to change. Mahrez needs to play, it's time for Powell to be given a chance, De Laet needs to be dropped, Schlupp needs to play at left back, Lawrence and Albrighton need to be given chances. We need to revert back to the good old fashioned attack minded 442 and take a chance, if we don't gamble we will be relegated indefinitely.

Powell is probably about 8th in the queue for people who need to be "given a chance".

Again, I will caveat this by acknowledging that is must be really hard to come into a struggling side like this, but he was the worst player on the pitch today and not far off that last week despite his energy.

If I hear the phrase fine margins again, I'm going to scream!

lol is a shit excuse week after week, surely if it was fine margins, we would be on the right side of them at times.

If we'd scored that penalty against Palace, and we would be level. :)

"Kamikaze stoppage time tackle".

It wasn't a foul, it wasn't even a foul.

If that wasn't, then by that standard you wouldn't have had a penalty against Man Utd, so, you wouldn't have made your comeback. So, in fact you'd be worse off.

Nice little win that for you at the weekend, We've taken the piss but the game at our place, and since it seems you're throwing more going forward, here's us looking like a cat caught in headlights!
