Is There "Anything" We Are Happy About?

Recommended Posts

I was going to buy my youngest a ticket to one of the midwinter games as a Christmas present but don't want to make him miserable so I'm happy to have the chance to change my mind.

I'm happy that I've not bought a season ticket this year given our lack of enterprise of late.

I'm happy that my Chinese student friend has moved on to Birmingham University and hasn't had to suffer seeing 400 minutes without a goal and I'm happy that we're not so far adrift in the table that we might have been all but beyond hope already.

How much "positive" do you want? lol

You have friends, wow, times have changed.......next I will be hearing Ken has a bird

I had a balti pie once but there were no forks left so I ate it with my bare hands like a savage. Plus in the time it took to get the pie I missed those two knocky goals against Huddersfield. Never again.

i hated it when we lost a couple of games, but now it happens every game have got used to it,

its fun reading so many idiotic solutions to the foxes present downward spiral,

dont get me wrong i want us to turn things around, but some of the suggestions people post

i presume seriously, make me laugh so much i end up with tears of laughter running down my face.

Yup and stand to attention when you talk to me.

Pearson's got to bring in some players who are shoe ins for a starting place - players too good to leave out. It seems to me that all of his recruitment, bar Ulloa over the summer were squad players who havent improved the team, they just give us more strength in depth and cause Pearson a selection headache.

I listened to a podcast where John Motson made some great points about transfer policy - he suggested you should always where possible pick the same side and that you only bring in players that will improve the team - eg Chelsea signing Costa, Fabregas, Courtois has made the TEAM better. Liverpool, Man City havent really added players to their squads that demand a start, that are good enough. We've done the same. Just a numbers game.

Our next win will feel amazing regardless of how we do it.

Whilst it's great to play at the top level and that, of course, is where the big money is, I don't think it would be such a disaster if we went back down to the Championship next season.

It seemed to be more fun last year, whereas its much more tense this time around. Every point is so vital and with all the griping and mud-slinging the enjoyment seems to have disappeared.

With the parachute payments we'd still be at the top fighting to win the league and I think it would be more exciting while we're building for another crack at the Premiership.

Having said that, I sincerely hope we stay up this year!

Yes, Coventry's kits have King Power shading on them. Not sure if anyone was aware.

We need more threads on this subject.

When I said at the end of last season he needed to bring in first teamers better than what we had I got slated.

This team is good enough these players deserve a chance. Oh and it's our bench that needs strengthening.

Too much sentiment among our fans one minute then hatred the next.

Our players were paid well for last season and they should only be starting this season if they are good enough.

Sadly most have not managed the step up.

Well I don't think we can say with conviction that most haven't managed the step up. After the Man Utd game you'd have said they had. Fact is they're on a terrible run have lost confidence and most are being played out of position. I'm so confident that Vardy, Mahrez, James, Drinkwater, Morgan to name 5 are most definitely good enough. There's your spine. If the rest aren't good enough, we need to buy better players. The signings we made over the summer were just squad players to compliment what we've got. We need more

They stepped up for one game. Div1 div2 and confrence sides beat top flight teams in the FA cup most seasons.

Would they do it week in week out I doubt it but in a one off anyone can.

One clean sheet say's it all really.

They are not far off it but as we all know you have to be 100% in every game and sadly we are not.

No, I'm not having that. We stepped up v Arsenal and Everton too. We were awful first half at Stoke but pretty good second half where Drinkwater and Cambiasso were very very good.
