bovril Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 we were the better team but weakness cost. We weren't. We played well but Man City had another gear to go up. As usual we worked hard but didn't test them that much in the 2nd half.

Yes we have kept man city fairly at bay and yes we have created some pretty decent half chances. But....you do realise they hardly got out of 1st gear and hardly put a shift in because they didnt have to, had their whole game plan disrupted 5 minutes before kick off and had to use a youth player and had to put a monumental shift in AWAY at Roma midweek. It will be back to square one next week no doubt.

We played this formation earlier in the season and were hard to play through and took points but then started playing kick and rush and threw away our chance to pick up points from teams of similar quality. Why have Drinkwater and King not been involved more?
