Rasmic123 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 have to say even though we're 1 down, that was a very enjoyable first half
MC Prussian Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Needless to say, our free-kicks and corners have been dire once more. Nothing new on that front.
Guest Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Leicester best team in the first half. Vardy great speed but does he have the touch? Drinky best player on the pitch first half. Camby great, corners terrible. Wasyl is a bombscare and can't pass. Is simpson any better than De Laet? Hamer played at least as good as Kasper. Schlupp and King okay.
cityfanlee23 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Wasilewski has to take the blame for his positioning on that one for me.... Yeah just saw the goal back, Morgan is clearly going towards the cross, there is absolutely no need for wasilewski to be there aswell, had to get into the centre and stop the cross if wes didnt. Very poor positioning.
ronnup Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 We've been good. But it's the same problem. Take your chances. We have to score clear chances.
cc_star Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 "Nigel Pearson will be wondering how his team are 1-0 down" story of our season that Not really, we've been very easy to play through in a 442 and "taking our game to the opposition". That's been different today & if we'd played with this shape & intensity against the ordinary teams we've been up against since Utd we probably wouldn't be where we are
Guest Bilo Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Even if it stays like this, there are positives to take from this display. Simpson is better than De Laet. Losing Schmeichel for the next few weeks is no catastrophe with Hamer in goal. 4-5-1 has stopped us being outnumbered in midfield. Drinkwater is excellent. Vardy is hungry. Play like this for the next few weeks and we'll arrest the slide.
ealingfox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I wish we wouldn't sing Where were you when you were shit at Man City fans. They were getting 30,000 in League One. I think that was aimed at the West Stand tbf.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 So many players should have seen lampard standing there, he was waiting for quite a while. Cambiasso and Konchesky in positions to spot the danger but didn't bother. Encouraging first half, and better organisation. Let's we carry on in this vein and not take a battering second half.
ADK Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 We've been ok. Although it was disappointing to allow Lampard to pass it into the net, he hasn't scored all those goals for nothing. In truth though I expect us to lose 2-0 but it doesn't really change anything. I hope we stick with the team including the manager.

whoareyaaa Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 we have more than matched them in the first half played some good stuff and look solid. shame about the lapse of concentration
Rasmic123 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 i dont think it was koncheskys fault for the goal, he has someone behind him he has to watch who would have scored if left unmarked. simpson was ball watching and marking absolutely nothing, others were at fault too

Jakemoore Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I think Cambiasso is to blame for their goal but Simpson should have seen the run too. Funny old game, at 0-0 we were doing just fine but now we'll have to attack so God knows what will happen second half. Keep the faith, we're playing the champions of England.
Guest Bilo Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Not a bad reaction from a manager who clearly has to go..... If I'm proved wrong, fantastic. I want to be. I'll be delighted if I end up putting my hands up as we've turned it around. I'm not like seenitall who seems to actively want Pearson to fail, quite the opposite.
lgfualol Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Think we've played well but they'll get another.

Wasly has been poor but I think Simpson was at fault for the goal. Wasyl was frightened that Morgan wasn't up to it and covered him. Was told Simpson to watch Lampard and he stood ball watching in no mans land.

Cambiasso is exactly where a tracking midfielder needs to be. If you see it again youll notice that Wasilewski was way out of position. he left his man wide open.
