SecretPro Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 ...Keep hearing this stupid sentence. Sure there's plenty of quality players rubbing there hands together at the prospect of signing for bottom of the league and adrift Leicester City. Kris Commons will save our season
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 We need nearly 7-8 players to progress in this league
Finn Claw II Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 The thing is as a statement is is probably Ittrue but a few to me means 4 or 5 and they are quality. The thing is this is much easier said than done. a few too many 'the thing is' in there - whoops
Matt Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 since when has a few been classed as atleast 11? Is this the new 'several' joke on here or something?!
SecretPro Posted 20 December 2014 Author Posted 20 December 2014 Sorry I should have said - Yes, this statement is true, but what gets me is the flippant way people say it. 'Oh, yeah we'll be fine once we've signed a few players in January'. TELL ME. WHO ARE THESE QUALITY PLAYERS THAT WANTS TO PLAY FOR BOTTOM OF THE PREM LEICESTER? ARGHHHHHHHH.
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Our only players who look comfortable for me are Mahrez, Cambiasso & Ulloa. Morgan, Was, King have been ok. In essence we have to accept we are a way short of what is needed. Sign 3 good players and we have a sniff. For me a LB, a forward and probably another central midfielder are essential, but who would sign for us at this stage remains to be seen..
yorkie1999 Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 What we need is a couple of big wild African strikers who can run at fifty miles an hour and bang goals in for fun
KFS Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 What we need is a couple of big wild African strikers who can run at fifty miles an hour and bang goals in for fun To an effect... This?
harpendenfox Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 What we need is a couple of big wild African strikers who can run at fifty miles an hour and bang goals in for fun I want a lanky 6 ft 8 inch Croat monster
Finn Claw II Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Agree entirely - who are they and can we have 11 rather than a few
Grewks Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 We don't need as many as people think... These lads were good enough at the start of the season...
yorkie1999 Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 I want a lanky 6 ft 8 inch Croat monster Have a word with jelavic, I'm sure he's got one
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Left back - Martin Olson (Norwich, can cut it at this level, fast and reads the game Left wing - Sinclair on loan Sakho Redmond if we splashed the cash Whittingham (can play either wing) CM - mulumbu - box to box, strong, fast, good vision, and out of contract in the summer so able to sign in jan cheap Claudio yacob is similar. Centre back - Winston Reid, been told he could leave for 3-4m as they are eyeing up nkoulou from France. Maybe another centre back Striker - Defoe, Kone on loan, pato? (Think he's too expensive but he can score goals if he's nurtured) Bar pato these players wouldn't cost us much, and their wage would not be too extortionate if we were to go down.
kingfox Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 The best we can hope for is a few loans, some Championship players & hopefully lure a few foreigners. Nobody with Premier League experience will come to us, unless they are playing in the MLS & come for only two months, or are out of favour but still probably wouldn't want to sign permanently.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 More than we can get, plus a new manager.
cc_star Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 We need a player who can the others do well what they did well last season, a Cattermole type player would aid the team massively although Pearson needs to grasp that all your midfielders can't play box-to-box and dedicated CDMs sitting in front of the defence and covering fullback attacks are worth 10 times their weight in gold In short, we're obviously well short on the pitch but the volume of players needed to turn it around may not be as big as it looks Manager's tactics though... Thats a different matter
bovril Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 The depressing fact is that, even with huge investment, we'll still probably be looking at a 6-7 point gap to safety and there is no guarantee Pearson will be able to turn them into a winning team again. Is it worth it?
hesapeepingtom Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Mahrez is utter Shiite.how people bang on about him I 'll never know.same as knickers only now everyone's realised knockaert is wankpasty.
