Leicesterpool Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 It's very sad Stephen's gone now, once again another great comedy actor as departed. It's sad all the great stars from classic British tv shows are all going.

Webbo Posted 7 September 2015 Posted 7 September 2015 Legendary Ska trombonist Rico Rodriguez died at the age of 80. People may remember him for his work with The Specials among others. I saw this the other day but didn't think anyone else would have heard of him.
Alf Bentley Posted 7 September 2015 Posted 7 September 2015 I saw this the other day but didn't think anyone else would have heard of him. Ah! There are a few of us salty old dogs out here....and that's a message to you, Webbo! I still can't believe that I got to see Prince Buster live at a festival in 2007. One of the few times that I've felt genuine awe at seeing someone live (Jerry Lee Lewis & Dr. John also spring to mind). Rico played with him in the 60s, I believe. I got put onto "the Prince" by all the 2-Tone shenanigans back in 79/80 or whenever it was, so to see him live 25+ years later, I was gobsmacked. He was still good, too....not as good as Dr. John, but good.

R.I.P Judy
