Thanks, saw this same link and have Guilford on my list. Always get good recommendations when posting on this thread.

Gullane no. 2. I'm sure the no. 1 course is great, but they offer less visitor tee times. As no. 2 is half the greens fee of the no. 1 course, plus with club rental, I'm still happy to get a great links experience without breaking the bank.

We have played on no. 2, it’s a cracking course and a real challenge especially if the wind blows.  As you say, less than half the price of no. 1 and on exactly the same piece of land.  No. 3 is on the other side of the road and quite different.

Jealous of all these 2025 arrangements. My schedule is desolate until the China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and India land and cruise trip in October. And my favourite cruise line just announced Alaska itineraries for 2026, which I can combine with a Miami to Seattle sailing through the Panama Canal. I keep looking at that and doing nothing for 2025

Thinking of doing a Mull and Skye holiday in July next year. Would consider other islands though. Any recommendations on best places to stay or active things to do?

Holiday to  Innsbruck for December before Christmas. (flights from manchester) staying for 3 nights then Zurich for two nights then fly back.

Any tips of anyone who has done Innsbruck/Zurich?

I think I said to you before that the towns on the Italian side of Tyrol are quite beautiful. Bressanone, Bolzano, San Candido. Would try to get up into some of the valleys and small villages too. Train to Bressanone doesn't take long then there are buses going into the valleys.

Yes thanks i had a look at some of those! will explore some of these as three days in Innsbruck will give us enough time.

Val di Funes is nice. Lots of buses going from Bressanone to Santa Maddalena. You can find a little Tyrolean inn for a beer.

Can anyone recommend a company to book a Dubai desert safari with, the evening one with the bbq and dune bashing? They all look so similar but the prices vary a lot, as do the reviews, so I'd like to book with a company that someone has actually used before

Just randomly booked Riga for 4 nights next year. Anyone been?

I remember drinking something black that is apparently made with like 50 different things from the forest and tastes of death

Take the train from Zurich to Lucerne and go to the top of mount Pilatus. That trip absolutely blew my mind.

Yes. It was a stag do many years ago. I have a vivid memory of a strip club that turned out to be more than a strip club and nothing else. 🤣
