tylerbird Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 So at the beginning of the winter I bought a Portland Timbers soccer jersey when I went to a match. I liked it a lot, so I thought to myself "hey, why not get some more jerseys?" I had been watching Premier League matches whenever I got the chance and always enjoyed watching Liverpool, so I got one of their jerseys off ebay for pretty cheap. Then I realized that it wasn't so much the teams that made me enjoy the jerseys, it was the fact that I just really liked soccer jerseys. So I decided to just start buying cool looking soccer jerseys and now I have jerseys from Tranmere Rovers, Glasgow Rangers, Everton, Liverpool, Timbers, USMNT, West Ham, Newcastle, Barcelona, and the CCCP. I enjoy wearing and playing in them all, but I get weird looks and sometimes snide remarks from people who have seen me in other jerseys before. Am I in the wrong here? TL;DR I have jerseys from lots of different teams and am wondering if that is wrong. EDIT: Thanks everyone, it's good to know there are other people like me out there!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 Worse than the common peddoful imo
FoxesAreBlue Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 On the scale of people who are wrong you're somwhere between Ched Evans and Hitler.
MrSpaM Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 You should try wearing full kits instead of just the "jerseys"
Nalis Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 On the scale of people who are wrong you're somwhere between Ched Evans and Hitler. I reckon the general acceptable rule of thumb is no more than 1 shirt per country/league. Equally, if you support a team in a certain country you dont buy shirts for other team in that country/team. When I was a kid there was a guy on my street who supporting Man U but bought the Man City Kappa top from the late 90s 'as it looked cool'. Jesus fvcking wept...
Kitchandro Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 I've got all sorts of shirts - mainly international retros. I couldn't wear another prominent English club's shirt though.
Renart Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 My Shirts: Leicester City (plenty) England (a few) Kettering Town (a few) Carlisle Utd (one) Barcelona (one) Perth Glory (one) I come from Kettering and was watching them from about 4 or 5 years old until I was taken to a Leicester City match by my cousin. For a long time I would go to both sets of games and felt no conflict of interest. I think that this is the point that was made in an earlier post. I spent a year living in Carlisle and went to quite a few of those games and once again felt no conflict, although I would never call myself a Carlisle fan. The Perth Glory and Barcelona tops come from going to their games and subsequently having a liking for those teams. However, I could never imagine a situation where I would own a shirt of a team that Leicester City are 'likely' to be in direct competition with. Even in previous seasons I could never imagine a situation where I owned a Southampton top, even though I have a 'soft spot' for them (my Dad comes from there), as Leicester are my team and even if they were not in the top flight to own a top of a team in a division above Leicester would feel false. I am not sure if that makes sense.
katieakita Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 Get yourself a retro Cov admiral kit sky blue or brown, probably get yourself taken into care.

tylerbird Posted 2 February 2015 Author Posted 2 February 2015 Don't knock 'em. image.jpg don't like this shirt,really,
Freesolo Posted 27 June 2015 Posted 27 June 2015 don't like this shirt, really, I don't hold that against you. How old are you? I think I kinda understand what you are doing when I was in school I used to play in the basketball team and followed the NBA I never supported a team in the NBA but enjoyed watching Basketball, my favourite players were Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, John Stockton and a few others from various teams. I had a 3 Jerseys from different teams The Bulls, Utah Jazz and Orlando Magic, I would wear them in practice in school or at the local park But at the same time I was a die hard Leicester City supporter went to every home game with my dad and never ever thought of supporting another team, you could call Leicester my first love I was so passionate about them, I hated it when we lost having to take shit from the away fans, Loved it when we won and if we ever beat a top side or came back from behind to win it was the best feeling ever. I think every Leicester fan who grew up watching them knows the feeling My feelings about Leicester compared to any NBA side are light years apart I couldn't give a shit if the Bulls won or lost I just liked to watch Michael jordan.
