jammie82uk Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 The problem is he has only made 2 competitive international appearances when he needs to have been selected at least 75% of the competitive international games over the last two years The club will have to explain why that is so Just for context Chelsea had to explain about willian to get his work permit and they did that by saying that the standard of the Brazilian squad was so high that if he played for another nation he would have easily fulfilled his 75% selection commitment
jammie82uk Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 If he's allowed to stay in the country surely he's allowed to work? He can't work but he's allowed to stay until they decide whether he can have a permit or not
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 A new record signing and It's my birthday on Saturday which can only mean one outcome - Hutton breaks his leg in three places in the first minute of the game and we never see him play for us again, I throw my pie at Hutton, miss, hit copper, life ban, prison, lose job, lose home.......That made me laugh mateSounds like my luck that last bit

But......how do you die? How does it end for you?!?! I'm on pins and needles....
shailen Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Honestly I dont really know how good this guy is, but if Chelsea were interested it does say it all. Mourinho is very astute with his signings, probably the best in the business, so he has to be good.
jammie82uk Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Clubs sign players from all the world. He will get a permit, it's whether the cnuts at the Home Office waste tax payers money by forcing an appeal which they and us know we'll win. The taxpayers don't pay the club has to pay for their time and travel cost
cityfanlee23 Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 The taxpayers don't pay the club has to pay for their time and travel cost If anything it still costs the taxman in a weeks tax in his wages lost!
Trelleh Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Looks like a right menace inside the 6-yard box. Providing we can give him the quality service, we'll be laughing.
benpicko Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Looks like a right menace inside the 6-yard box. Providing we can give him the quality service, we'll be laughing. And outside of it as well
playerzgb Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Yes. We are a club from the third largest city. Our support is from the city and the surroundings. Max. 40km from Rijeka. Local club, local people support it, local media follows us. Most of the papers are centralised (Zagreb) and the journalist are either Dinamo or Hajduk supporters. Hajduk and Dinamo are "national" clubs. I'd say at least 80% of the country supports them. They've always had the backing of the state (Tito, the ex-president of Yugoslavia was a Hajduk supporter, and Tudjman, the first president od Croatia was a Dinamo supporter - ok, he changed the name to Croatia, but that's another story). They got all the media behind them. It's "natural" that all the players got to Dinamo or Hajduk. It's normal to go to another part of Croatia and get asked "Who do you support?", and after you anwser - "Rijeka", the say, "Yeah, ok, but really, Hajduk or Dinamo?". We've always been a local club but even here, until about 20-25 years, a lot of people supporter one of the two clubs, or Red Star from Belgrade (while we were in Yu). Our region is or was the most developed, most modern and we had a lot of people from other parts of ex-Yu and Croatia migrating. Now, from the 90's, it's all changed. The region is ours. Rijeka was always a cute club from the north Adriatic, until we became strong. Until we had the courage to stop the duopoly of two clubs. Now we are the most hated club. "Tovari", the Hajduk fans hate us because they are bad at the moment and we are prospering. After our club was privatised and bought by an Italian oil company which employs a lot od people of Rijeka and Miskovic (our club Chairman) is the second person in hierarchy there, we started our renasanse. We were twice second in the last two years, won the Cup and the Supercup, played Europa League twice. We are building a Sports camp with a 5500 seater stadium and rebuilding our old stadium (it will have 14000 seats). And all from OUR money. Private money from the company that owns 70% of the club. Hajduk, on the other hand had their stadium built by Tito. The ex-Croatian PM, Sanader, currently on trial for corruption and treason was in charge of their privatisation of the club. He made a lot of companies buy their shares. 7 or 8 years later, they managed to steal tens of milions of Euros from the club. The club was in debt and only a loan from the bank saved them. The Dinamo journalist are mostly on Mamic's pay list. He sold Kramaric to us for 700 000€. We sold him for 12 000 000€. It was in his intereset to make us look as bad as possible. And now, taking all that in consideration, you can see why they hate us. They lost their position. And we grew. And are still growing. Our future is bright and they don't have money for donuts. Cut the crap will you. Being an Hajduk supporter myself I never ever loathed against you and personally I am glad for your success. But this post, besides that is full of lies and myths (like Tito being a Hajduk supporter or that your region is among the prosperous, maybe only recently but for the most time that was Split, Zagreb and even Osijek; Sanader helping Hajduk etc.) shows just why you were never and will not ever be among the popular clubs in the state. You can have all the money you can get, but you will never have more than 3000 people on average per game. You just cannot buy tradition. Yes, Hajduk has financial difficulties but it is because we never wanted to sell our club to some rich dude to became its personal playtoy (last summer some American wanted to buy it but the fans rejected it), we are and have always been a peoples club. That is something that you can never understand, it is also a reason why you will always be a local club not reaching popularity outside Rijeka and Kvarner (hence even there most of people from Rijeka dont cheer for Rijeka; in your cityI would say 40% are for HNK Rijeka while the rest of 60% are Dinamo and Hajduk fans). There is also other reasons why you dont get the support of people outside of Rijeka and the media but I will not mention it as is is not of domain of football. Now, 70% of Hajduks shares are owned by the City of Split while the rest are minor share holders. If last summer a private person like that American brought the most shares as he plannned, Hajduk would become rich but it would loose its popularity and support from its fans. We are operated by the same way as Barcelona FC, in which every member of the club has a vote to elected the Nadzorni odbor (dont know how it is called in English), contrary to you who dont have any voice in the decission making of your club. In 2008. the only thing that changed is that Hajduk turned from a sports society into a shareholder firm, where the City of Split became the major share holder and Sanader had nothing to do with it. That is enough for me, and just to clarify I am not writing because of you who got excited as a teen girl who is about to lose her virginity and now deperately post here to have attention ("look guys, see our club how awesome it is"), but to clarify the situation to the foreign readers. PS. I liked much your rival club from the city HNK Orijent, unfortnately he never got much attention from Rijeka high politics. PPS. Also the media are saying that mamić got some money from the transfer of Kramarić since he is actually a product of Dinamo (he started there his career and hia hometown is actually Zagreb). Because of close relationships between Rijekas Mišković and Mamić, people are mocking Rijeka by calling it Dinamos feeder club.
dayday Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 James Sharpe from the Mercury reckons he won't get his permit until next week.
Hack Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I haven't seen this article posted as yet on Kramaric so Thought i would. It is very complimentary and well worth the read. We have a real star in this kid. http://www.espnfc.com/blog/transfer-talk/79/post/2230085/michael-yokhin-profiles-croatias-new-young-prodigy-andrej-kramarictarget-of-chelsea-and-leicester
Leicesterfarian Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Slightly worried about the work permit stuff. Some sources saying it won't be completed until after the Villa game. How I see it though is that Ulloa, Vards and Nuge will see a £10m striker coming in to nick one of their places. This might be the motivation to play out of their skins on Saturday!

Don't think ulloa has anything to worry about as he's different class to the other two

C-man Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I find this work permit situation utterly incredible. We are having to appeal so presumably the application was initially turned down? In what other state would a country £1.5 trillion in debt say 'nah we don't want the £400k a year in taxes you'll be giving us because you haven't played 75% of games for Croatia over the last 2 years. Try again in 3 years and you'll walk straight in.' Fvcking bollocks.

jammie82uk Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Particularly given that the country is in the sodding EU. Yeah but open door Access is locked till 2020 until then you need a work permit
broughtonblue Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Possibly only on foxestalk could we get two 'fans' of different clubs, both foreign, arguing about their clubs and a player who isn't even ours!

The initial application would have been turned down as he fails the basic requirements the club have got to explain why he's only played the amount of games he has instead of the required amount

foxfanazer Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 If we're confident we're going to get him I assume he'll be training with us until the permit comes through?
