What people need to realise that he's actually signed the contract. He's an LCFC player all bar a tiny bit of red tape.

Can he train with us in the meantime Bert?

Weird people getting pissy about a work permit.

When was the last time a transfer collasped due to a work permit issue?? Never?

Who was that South African lad (maybe a defender?) a fair few years ago who was virtually signed for us but then some visa/work permit problem popped up and we never heard about him again?

Either way I doubt this case will be much of a problem. Journos shoving shite in the way to make a big story out of it. He'll easily be ready for Stoke.

The fact that he's not available for Villa gives him time to get to know everyone, settle in.... and also means he can get straight int he side against Stoke .... Nice won't have to make him sit on the bench for a game like he usually does with a new signing.

#LCFC have completed deal with Rijeka and personal terms with Andrej Kramaric. Deal SUBJECT to work permit. I'm told permit chances 50-50.

Rob Dorsett on twitter just now

Rob Dorsett saying a 50% chance, where the he'll does he get this information. Why is it that no other foreign players seem to have this issue. And if so why didn't the club foresee this (they obviously did)

It would be a complete shambles if the home office rejected this considering his potential and the fact he could just walk in in July once Romanians have freedom of movement.

**** knows where he got the 50/50 chance thing from. People have said about Klinic but he had played for Croatia for 2 years before he signed

He hadn't played for Croatia for 2 years before signing. He'd made only a handful of appearances for them over the course of a year but I suppose he had been called up to the Euro 2008 squad.

I'd be astounded if we couldn't argue this case as he's a player with what most would describe an exceptional talent.

If it gets rejected though, we can't appeal until the end of the season which is scandalous.

50% chance my arse. Leicester and Chelsea wouldn't have gone this far without thinking the chances were more than 50/50

Super Kev wouldn't have been spouting off either if they were worried.

No OK. Don't make me cry again. I've waved the white flag... :surrender:

IFFFFFFFFFFFF he's a number 10 then that's exactly what we need and i'll give the boy a chance.

What if he's no better than Nugent though? How many goals would Nugent get in the Croatian League?

He is signing for your club - you should be giving him a chance regardlessly

Tbf to the government, everyone is bleating on about Eastern europeans coming over here and taking jobs at a lower wage than uk workers

Looks like he is earning less than vardy and nugent so I think it's right to refuse it. Maybe they can get dave and Jamie to write a letter supporting his application for the appeal !!

Of course it is 50/50 either it happens or it doesn't aka 50/50. It will deffo happen though I reckon.

Nice one Schrödinger.

Let's see what Big Nige has to say in his Thursday presser, he'll surely be asked about the lad.

Let's hope Rob Tanner/James Sharpe ask and not Ian Stringer...

Then we will get **** all response!

KRAMARIC UPDATE

Leicester have reached agreement with Croatian side Rijeka and agreed personal terms with Andrej Kramaric, but according to Sky sources there is some concern he may not meet the necessary criteria to secure a work permit.

The work permit hearing is scheduled for next week, so Kramaric will not be available to face Aston Villa this weekend

So having had some limited experience with this type of thing here's my tuppenceworth.

He doesn't need a 'work permit' as we understand it he is an EU citizen, and the 75% rule shouldn't apply. However, there are still provisional controls on the movement of labour in and out of Croatia so he will need an 'accession card' which is basically like a slip from your parents getting you out of PE. From my experience UKBA makes it as difficult as possible for you to get these, your employer is supposed to sort it out but they are usually unwilling. However, Leicester City shouldn't have any problem. Believe me, this will happen, it'll just take a couple of days.

To our Croatian friends I would like to point out that most of our fans will give him a chance whatever position he plays and however Nigel chooses to deploy him and we will not get on his back if he doesn't score in his first game.

Sadly some of our fans enjoy dismissing players before they have even signed, so that if they don't succeed they can say I told you so. It happens with every transfer even when we signed Esteban Cambiasso.
