Went to the moorings in Barrow last Friday with the missus and won't be rushing back.

Italian food menu but limited in offerings, it was tasty enough without being top tier.

Service though was utter shambles from start to finish, needs a manager to sort the kid staff working in there.

Off to the three crowns tomorrow night for our anniversary, really looking forward to it.

Honestly don't know why the Moorings have gone down that route. It's pricey if I remember.

Crap service totally spoils the evening, how doesn't the management see that?

Not heard a bad thing about the food at the 3 crowns and anytime Ive been in for a pint the owner makes sure the service is good. Famous last words.......enjoy.

£19 for Nduja risotto so a little pricey.

There wasn't any visible management that I could see, just seemed like no one knew what they were doing.

Cheers! Looking forward to it 😀

I know it's not in or around town, but not far at away at all for anyone north of the county.

Hickorys smoke house.

Brisket Sub with dipping gravy was another world.

I've found The Moorings alright at lunchtimes, if a little pricey for what you get.

Three Crowns food always smells great. Shame they sacked off opening during the day.

Not technically a restaurant but Leicester institution Currant Affairs is moving from Loseby Lane. Unfortunately, I think its long term future is likely limited.

Where is it off to?

Has anyone been to Spice Hub the new name after Nawaaz had a refurb?

Hopefully it’s an improvement- metric being able to function like a normal human and not conducting team meetings from the lav.

Best restaurant for Pizza? Meeting up with friends in a few weeks and fancy a pizza. Maurizio's and the Pear Tree in Woodhouse are two that have been mentioned so far

I wouldn't consider it a restaurant in the the traditional sense but Martin Bros on Queens Road is excellent if it's all about the Pizza - those guys were trained by masters over in Italy. Do a few craft beers too. Opening hours are a bit shite and it's very 'cafe' looking inside but...

pear tree do really good pizzas, but expect to re-mortgage your house when you get the bill. £16 for margarita, £18-20 for other pizzas

they have a cool ski lodge vibe thingy outside where they have live music which is pretty cool

Himilaya last night near crown hills

An old boozer with a restaurant attached

I went with some mates and kicked off with Fish Pakora and a mixed grill…. When it landed on our table, we cancelled the mains

Pucker tucker and worth the trip
