What's the Kayal like (near the train station) Indian restaurant?

Very good though not been in years. Nice to try something a bit different than your typical Indian. Humongous dosas.

Really enjoyed it, thought the food was excellent.

Went to Amrut on Churchgate a couple of weeks ago, though that was excellent too.

Mine to, whenever I'm in Leicester I check out this authentic place called McDonalds.  In the old days they used to have this clown that scared the shit out of the kids.

Reopening August in St Martin’s Sq

Hope they make a proper go of it this time. It wasn’t fine dining as much as they tried. The food was good but let down by the service and the wine.

It’s Leicester College culinary students so it isn’t quite at the level it needs to be true fine dining.

It’s pretty reasonably priced for a 6 or 7 course taster menu though. Went there this evening and it was an about £120 for 14 courses and a bottle of wine. I bet 3 courses each and a house wine at the sodding Gynsills would cost about £80

Haven't been in years, but had a great Indian at Aspects in Enderby on Friday night. We used to go regularly when we lived nearby and it was always really busy but it was surprisingly quiet in there.

It’s nice, but it wasn’t cheap the last time I went a few years ago.

Used to go years ago - sounds like it’s still ok then !

Did Chettinad a few weeks back and found it a bit disappointing. We were the only people in there too.

Ah the curry master! I want to try what a shot, I have heard it's an Indian restaurant not the typical oily Bangladeshi/Bengali mild spiced 'curry' house. You been? Any good?
