haha. I think Paddy's gets some unfair criticism. It has got more expensive, but it's still right up there for me. Once you know the best dishes there you'll always have a good experience!

I doubt I'll get round to this new one anytime soon. Wrong side of Leicester for me too.

Did Chef's Flavour the other week which was solid. Doing Durham Ox (long overdue) next week and then Balmoral and Sharmilee in December. Will report back after!

Had the thali at Sharmilee recently for £9.95. Group of about 15 of us, can't sing its praises high enough. Solid 9/10 for me.

Did the Durham Ox on Tuesday. Pretty solid again. Value is exceptional- pint of Guinness is £3.75 and Stella £3.30. It was £29 a head for 6 of us and we had an absolute mountain of food (which we didn't finish) and a couple of pints each. Wasn't too shabby inside either as I was expecting it to be a bit run down.

Balmoral in a couple of weeks and hoping to do a bit of a pub/curry crawl after the Sheff U game.

Paddy's & little Club still the best two IMO

What would recommwnd from Little Clib.  Also where would you recommend for the best thali and or lamb chops, COGs

I like the starters at Little Club- chilli lamb, chilli garlic prawns, lamb chops, crispy aubergine and the combo tawa main is decent (you can see most of them on the Only Scrans video). The service/experience is good there and it's all integrated, not the biggest fan of these separate bar/restaurant places. Best lamb chops i've had are from Indian Queen on Melton Road. No idea on the Thali front. Durham Ox and Broadway are good value.

Took the family to peters pizzeria in Loughborough over the weekend and don't understand what the fuss is. Apart from the desserts (which were great), starters and main were standard at best. Customer service was good though. Will come back, but only for desserts and coffee. Thoroughly recommend the pistachio tiramisu.

Not a huge fan of the one in Leicester really. Decent, but better options out there.

Ive heard the one in Loughborough aint great. I am a fan of the town one. It’s good for kids and the LCFC discount is large.

Where would you say is better? I still need to try Maurizios

Yeah Maurizios for sure, Martin Bros as well but they don’t do many pizza nights now.

Maurizios here too. But peters is open earlier and it's hard for your child to offend anyone I there. Plus it's mega quick for food to arrive.

Doughwhat is good enough in my experience too - we often have to go there as they have decent vegan options (wife can't have dairy)

Anyone been Casa Casa?

Overpriced for small plates, not even filling like they should be in that aggregate sort of way.

Sonrisa is far better.

It’s run by the bottle garden I think. Was disappointing like the bottle garden.

Was meant to be going to The Wilderness in Brum for lunch but had to cancel and watch them 11 ***** earlier instead, but it does mean we are going to Sapori instead. Never been and wanted to go for ages.

Went to the Grey Goose In Gilmorton on Saturday - decent, albeit service was a bit hit and miss. Portions are still huge which makes a change these days. 7.5/10.
