Guest MattP Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Bairstow giving us a chance here. Nothing with the light if he's hitting Wahab for 4 and 6's.
leicsmac Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Just not enough time here. A few more overs or a little more light... Damn.
Guest ttfn Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Catch the ball, drop it again, claim you couldn't see it.
Carl the Llama Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 I have to ask: What's the point of installing floodlights at cricket grounds if they don't provide enough light to extend play beyond sun-down?
Corky Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Catch the ball, drop it again, claim you couldn't see it. That was great, saw it all the way to the hands, catch it cleanly, think "oh shit, we need to go off, I'm near the umpire, I didn't see it all that well actually, where the fvck's it come from?" and drop it before gesturing that it was all a fluke.
BoyJones Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 What a farce. Test cricket needs all the help it can get over there, but five days wasted. Mind you, we should have factored in a ten over innings and gone for two's and three's early on to keep scoreboard ticking over. 36 off 6 was never gonna get there.
Voll Blau Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 It meant a lot to Moeen to play against the land of his grandparents and gave him a little advantage as he put on a century stand with his captain when he opened the batting for the first time in a first-class match. ‘I can understand what they’re saying so when I heard their plan for Cooky I was telling him what it was,’ said Moeen. ‘It was good. I was just doing a job for the team and trying to give us a good start. There was scoreboard pressure but I really enjoyed it and I felt I could play properly again. I felt like a batter. Good work Moeen.
Guest MattP Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 It was Although a bit daft of us now to tell them we know
Guest MattP Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Another toss lost, these series are hard enough without this.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Would've bitten your hand off for this score after losing the toss.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Shame to have let them get away from 88-3, can't let them get to 500+ again.
Guest MattP Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Very slow at times, think they'll get to 500 again, going to be a lot more difficult for us as well with Shah in.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Unbelievable morning, well played England.
Guest MattP Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Incredible effort that by the bowlers, Wood was immense. Get 450 on and we're strong favourites.
leicsmac Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Root and Cook to dig in here. Sorely needed again. Surely Bell is through now?
Guest MattP Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Two of the top four positions could be in need of change by winter. Bell and Ali who won't be able to open in South Africa.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Still think Lyth should have been given this tour.
Guest MattP Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 How to ruin a whole tour's work in one morning.....
Bobby Hundreds Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Time Buttler was dropped, bring in Taylor.
