tickler28 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Does anyone know if they were carrying knocks? Had spoken out of turn? Surely Albrighton and Ulloa had to start if fit?
AKCJ Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Does anyone know if they were carrying knocks? Had spoken out of turn? Surely Albrighton and Ulloa had to start if fit? I imagine that Nige was naive enough to think that being quick would be the best way to win a game against Stoke. People still think they're the same side that played under Pulis. We needed to get the ball down and play today, we invited way too much pressure. We have a dismal home record because we let teams come and play here. We need to start getting the ball and dictating the play again.

tickler28 Posted 17 January 2015 Author Posted 17 January 2015 Who would ask the question? Someone should because in my mind its the question today every fan wants the answer to
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 It was a pretty obvious tactical decision by Nige which a ten year old could have worked out. He didn't feel crosses by Albrighton into Ulloa with 6' 4" defenders was a good idea. I'm not saying it was the right decision I'm just saying it was fvcking obvious what the mindset is.

But relying on King and Drinkwater to supply through balls for Vardy was!?!?

tickler28 Posted 17 January 2015 Author Posted 17 January 2015 who would risk getting sent to coventry ? Fair point theyve got no fans...they've got no ground...
Dickov22 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Ulloa was absolutely terrible against Villa With Albrighton I'm guessing it was a toss up between him and Knockeart (due to us needing some muscle in the midfield Schlupp was a nailed on starter) and both Albrighton and Knockeart played well last week Don't understand Lawrence coming on before Albrighton though

If it was purely tactical then it's extremely poor management. I can't see why we wouldn't want to continue in the same vein after the Villa match.

How does Schlupp bring muscle to the team? Ulloa wasn't terrible against Villa at all, he contributed a to a good team performance, and is our only real goal threat.

Ulloa wasn't terrible against Villa at all, he contributed a to a good team performance, and is our only real goal threat. One of Schlupp's best (and only) attributes is his strength and how he outmuscles and shoulder charges players off the ball. Did it three times today. Ulloa has been great but last week was his worst performance for us.
Osavo Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Honestly starting to think Pearson has some sort of personal vendetta against Albrighton. He only ever plays when he absolutely has to and if he plays well he usually gets dropped anyway. Must have been a Robinson signing that Nige didn't particularly want imo.
smudger63 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Who would ask the question? Well there is one person that would have asked the question, but Pearson has still got the arse with him.
chapero82 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 The thing that annoys me about Ulloa is that there will be crosses going into the box and where is he? Outside the box why does he do that i will never know, it's become a formality surely NP should have noticed this by now and told him to get himself in the box when our wingers etc are at the edge of the area

He's our best striker by a considerable margin.
Suffolk exile Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Is it not a good tactic to not change a winning team? Has certainly worked with other teams.....
Sir Fynwy Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I was told that we have received a significant bid for Ulloa from an Italian team and he was being protected whilst city decide if they are interested in selling him. A friend of ours spoke to Nigel at the Sports Awards earlier this week and he told them his top pairing is Vardy and Kramaric.
Dickov22 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Ulloa terrible last week - He had a shocker against Villa at home. The whole ground could see that. Should still start each game though in my opinion.

Raj Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Ulloa terrible last week - Does one thing that Vardy n Nug can't at this level though...score

Shame he didn't give them five minutes together then - he could have taken Nugent off first rather than leave him on and subbing Vardy first.
